Daniels is the best QB we’ve had since Mett.

Take Burrow out of the equation for a minute.

A lot of people who don’t really know football have said he’s one read and run. That’s absolute horseshite in every way it can be.

Our offensive line play was some of the worst I’ve ever seen . FSU was getting pressure with 3 man fronts.

What none of you noticed because you were too busy shitting your diapers and whining about our QB, was that he had EXCELLENT awareness.

And incredible vision on top of that. If Boutte wasn’t a whiny bitch , Daniels has two passing TDs added. Along with an incredible rushing performance in which he had no help at all.

With a warmup game, that game isn’t close. It already shouldn’t have been.

Dude played great. He was about the only one who did.

Also agreed. I think he's going to do really well if he can get protection.

Go check out the Skyview thread. He missed open guys due to his inability to read defenses and not keeping his eyes downfield.

Best QB to ever make 1 read then takeoff running.

Because of that 100 yard drive against prevent defense, everyone has forgotten that he was trash. We should have won that game by 20. Our WRs were open down the field every play but he would just tuck and run.

Agreed 100%. A lesser QB would have forced throws and caused turnovers or coughed up the ball on those sacks.

some dudes were saying they would rather a QB back there slinging the ball, picks be damn, as long as he wasn't holding onto it or running.

on a night where the dude running it had no turnovers.

He played really well. Was basically our entire running game and would have had over 80% completion if Kayshon didn’t have 4 drops

Etling was pretty good, but he’s the only one even close.

Here's a blitz with Boutte running wide open on the slant and he couldn't get the ball out:

Here's Daniels electing to run rather than getting the ball to Boutte running to daylight or the receiver uncovered on the boundary:

The offense may have been held to a goose egg if Etling was the QB on Sunday night.

He played really well in the 2nd half. Especially in the final drive. Let's see how he does the next 3 weeks through Mississippi State. I want to believe.

The people that are overly critical of Daniels didn't want him to start anyway. They are either Brennan fans or wanted Nuss to start.

Daniels did miss on some reads. It appeared to be about 3-5 throws he could have made but decided to run. The good thing is, when he decided to run, he got positive yards. So it wasn't negative plays.

If it was Nuss in the pocket, some of those plays are likely sacks.

I expect Daniels to get better.

Some fans would probably prefer to have Brennan at QB who struggles in the red zone against below average talent than Daniels who play well against guys who will be in the NFL.

I see some of y'all don't remember how miserable it was with running QB's at LSU.

Daniels looks just like Jennings and Harris. Run first instinct is not what i want to see in a quarterback. I'd rather a QB who was a good passer, who used his legs as a last resort. Not as a first choice.
