Sad day. He was a great Tiger fan, and from what I gather, a really good man.

As a kid, every morning began with the sports section of the local newspaper. As an adult and since 1998, my mornings have begun with Dandy Don. His LSU legacy and spirit will live on forever.

Sad to hear this; but glad for this man's life and the good he did - not only for the LSU nation, but for his family, church, and community. He has touched a lot of lives and set a good example. RIP Don Long. And thanks from this LSU fan.

My prayers for the family. Both Don and his wife have passed on in a short time. Here's to Scott, his family and keeping a great blog going for us all.

My condolences to his family.
Dandydon was the first LSU website that I read with any regularity, and is still the first site I pull up to read each day.

"The Don" will be surely missed by the Tiger faithful.
