Very sad day. Haven't read his site in a while but it was one of the first sites I ever started following recruiting on.

He had a true love for the Tigers and wrote with a great deal of temperance and class.

RIP Dandy Don.

This is for you!

amen. they don't come more dedicated than the Dandy One. the epitome of a quality fan. his commentary really balanced out tiger droppings because some of the posters here are over the top. i wish his son the best of luck.

Damn. May he rest in peace. As for many of us I'm sure, his was the first LSU website I started following. Would read it every morning at work. Here's to what seemed to be a great man and the great work he did.

May he rest in peace and may his family find peace in knowing that he was loved and admired by many fans and others who may or may not have been fans of LSU but still respected DD.

I used to give the Dandy One a lot of hell a few years back for some of his mistakes but it was really all in good fun. Dude was a good guy and absolutely loved LSU.

Every single morning - wake up, shower, have a cup of coffee and open Dandy don for the latest and greatest in Tiger news. I will sorely miss his writing.
His emphasis of God, Family, and fishing through his struggles is something to cherish. Best of luck to that family.
