That must have pissed off a good percentage of Rantards watching the game. He couldn't stop complimenting the Tigers.

Really? I thought everyone was saying he was clearly pulling for the underdogs.

I like Hawkins and love his show on XM.

Did you miss the first half? Guy is a tard. That may have been the worst announcing I've heard

He's looking for a coaching gig. I wonder if he's ever coached special teams?

at least in the first half.

LF7 had ~85 yards at the half. Hawkins said "except for 1 big play it's been all WKU"

First Half: the rain is an advantage to WKU because they will stack the box (huh?)

Second Half: the rain stopping is an advantage to WKU because they have a better passing attack.

In the End: it was wet. very fricking wet. downpour or drizzle, wet. wet until 00:00

Dear Joe,
Make it happen.

The rain was weird.

Conventional wisdom is rain helps the running team, but when it gets that bad where you can barely run too it doesn't favor anybody. Every one just plays like crap.

No I watched it again. WKU played a great first half. He was touting LSU's front 4 and complimented WKU when they made those great plays. But he clearly had a boner for LSU's unbalanced blocking attack and LF7. "LSU is so good they're always getting an extra man there which creates an extra gap".

The map of Japan graphic made the whole broadcast legendary

Sharp cuts are tough to make on soggy fields. In the first half (during the heavy rain), Williams would have been just about as effective as Fournette, because he's just as big. Either guy would have been, simply, a big, strong 230+ back running hard at a 9 man front.

I think the wet field helps the offense in general. Secondaries don't know the routes, and will not have the footing to effectively close up the distance if the ball is thrown well. And the wet ball didn't seem to bother any of the receivers; LSU's guys looked good, and WKU's guys caught the ball like they had velcro on it.

I do agree the secondaries did seem to be disadvantaged moreso tonight.

I also wondered if I was going crazy because on tv it seemed like it would stop raining when WKU had the ball in the 1st half

I'm just glad they kept calling that dude Prince Charles. Their other corner played like Lady Di.

Rain never helps us.. Because we are faster than most teams. Fournette rushes for 225 on a dry night. Reminded me of penn st bowl game

LF7 prefers to go in dry on his opponents.

I mean, how does a college football game have a graphic of Japan even available?
