We just played the no. 1 team in the country within 10 points... and had absolutely zero offense.

Am I happy with the direction and plan of the offense? No.

But shite, the only other defense on our plate that can really shut down the o completely like that is Bama. Ole Miss can do it somewhat, but they are inconsistent and their offense is about as bad as ours...

What other teams are gonna be favored to beat us? Auburn? Zero d. Arkie? Zero d.

Am I the only one who looks at the schedule and thinks we have a lot of winnable games left?

So you're willing to accept the outcome of last nite's game. Fine. Allow those of us who share a different opinion to voice it. That's all.

And I disagree, I think we will have difficulty moving the ball on Auburn, Ole Miss and the Hogs. The progression of the O is not forward, but backward.

Dan,

it's becoming very clear to many of us that LSU needs a coaching change on the offensive side of the ball.

Doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting different results.

The talent is on the roster, but not on the field.

The "Offensive" play selection looks like someone is throwing darts at the playbook.

Its not the loss that hurts, hell, we as fans were all wishing, hoping and praying we could manage a "V"...but..... its the way the team played,(offense) somewhat disorganized to you?...just asking...I give credit to Fla, they came to play, they punched LSU in the mouth but we didnt seem to punch back, mainly on offense ...I give Kudos to the defense, you cant stay on the field all nite...

Did you not witness the other 5 games this team has played leading up to this. Sure we ended up with W's but we could have just lost 2 of those if not for luck and help from officials. This team was not a legit #4 ranked 5-0 team and everyone knew it. From what I saw last night I think we'll still be overrated today. So that leads me to believe we're in for at least a couple of more losses.

You answered your own question. The negativity comes because with a lack of offense, our coaching staff refuses to try something different. Whether that be playing different players or trying different plays. How many times do you run into the wall before you look for a way around it? Defense will not be able to play like that in every game. The offense will have to win us a game now and then.

The following team scored as many points against Florida this season as LSU did last night: Charleston Southern

The following teams scored MORE points against Florida this season than LSU did last night: Troy, Tennessee, Kentucky

I am still ill at the complete ineffectiveness of LSU's offense last night. Certainly, a good bit of that is to be attributed to Florida's defense; however, our skill players (with the exception of our QB) are at least as good as these other teams'

In the absence of divine intervention, LSU will lose to Alabama and Arkansas (because, by the end of the year, the defense is going to be so worn out they will not be able to stop them). There is also a better than average chance they will lose to Auburn and Ole Miss.

7-5 again? With this talent?

When LSU lost to Florida in 2003, it proved to be a turning point in the season on the way to an NC. Last night's game was not such a turning point. Last night's game merely exposed LSU for all the world to see.

Our coaches are second rate. We have good recruits but they are not being coached up. Thank our lucky stars for the 2 NC we have for we will not see one again as long as we have the current coaching staff in place. Why in the world would Miles say that the current offensive line is the best he's seen at LSU. Face it, we will always be second rate To Florida and Bama and probably other SEC teams after their coaches catch on. I would love to be proven wrong but I don't think so.

First of all - running the table would be undefeated. I conceded that won't happen.

Secondly - that's the best or 2nd best defensive football team... in the country.

Does our offense blow? Absolutely. But does it blow so bad we won't score points on lesser defenses? I don't think so...

which of those teams held florida to 13? which of those teams got to play the 2nd half against florida's reserves?

If so, Miles should be canned.

I'm no Crowton apologist. I hated him last year and I have every game this year as well. Dude is not a great OC...
