Dale Brown whining on Buddy Songy

now. Just when I am ready to get on board about having something named for Brown, he starts whining about the lack of respect for basketball at LSU all at the expense of football. He is piling on how horrible it was for the bball program and said if one blade of grass was bent the wrong way in Tiger Stadium, 15 workers would be working on it in about 10 minutes after the call.
I do admire his accomplishments but I also remember why he is gone when you hear stuff like this.

What a fricking liar. Our grass has been shitty for over 5 years now and apparently the athletic dept. doesn't give a shite.

In all seriousness why was he gone (in a nutshell). I was out of the state for two years when he left and did not pay much attention. Other than rumors about recruiting, that is all I have heard. A link to a good summary would be a nice read.

It's called hyperbole. But who can disagree with his point? LSU cared much more for the football program than it did the basketball program, especially when Dale Brown was first hired.

1) The team was not competitive at all after 92-93
2)The Lester Earl stuff (which was apparently never directly linked to him)
3) He was here 25 years. Probably didn't need the headaches anymore. Can't say I blame him.

C'mon if LSU didnt care about Basketball why would that have given Dale Brown all that money to bring in his recuits?

You can thank Johnny Jones for all of that. I am telling you right now. Dale Brown had nothing to do with any of that.
