I believe it is fairly well known that Ed Lawrence was paid to go to McNeese. I think the coach's name was Riegel or something like that. I want to say a camaro was the vehicle of choice at the time. Parish was a funny one, but at least the story was that his mama made him stay home. I don't think Dumars or Malone were recognized for the incredible talents that they were.

If Trent is horrible again this year than maybe he should go. But I just don't see this team being near as shitty as last years...As far as putting people in the PMAC, I agree. Trent needs to quit acting like he's sleepwalking and show some signs of life.

so are we taking Dr. Bryan"t", the proctologist, important here or what ? give me a break .. you glossed over that one i see ... you've been running around here all morning acting like you know more than anyone in any thread and you are really going to try this one ??

and no, where are my loyalties anti-dale brown exactly ?? my comments and opinions are grounded in facts .. it is what it is .. i credit the man for what he did for LSU basketball, but he made a huge mistake at the end of his career that set both the program and his legacy back years ... the point is .. just listen to people or read what other people around here have to say from time to time and stop trying to one up or make someone look bad for the benefit of appearing to be the coolest kid in the room .. that's all ..

I'm just sick of getting our asses kicked with no one in the arena and Trent just sitting there like he doesn't give a frick. I think it was Ole Miss last year, they are up by like 20 with 5 or 6 minutes left and we sat back in a zone the entire time and let then hit open shots the rest of the game. First time I've ever openly boo'ed in the PMAC

i agree with this .. if the team is horrible this season, then i will be on the help trent pack bandwagon .. because he has ears and he knows he'd better win this year ...

You accused Dale Brown of lining the pockets of warmup suits with cash & claimed he paid Collis Temple to hand deliver players to both Dale & Brady....You're really a "Big Fan" of Dale's huh?

People can smell your BS from a several miles away.

I guess Geert was his best foreign player. It seems like he went crazy with the recruitment of foreign players toward the end.

Geert was a 1st round NBA pick.

Who scored a combined 14 pts in his NBA career and was probably an average at best overseas player.

No time to scroll back to read your chicken scratchings. You made it evident you don't like Dale Brown & claimed you're going to repost some of these threads in about 2 years. Good luck with that. Maybe someone will care where Trent Johnson is coaching at that time.

Robert Parish could barely read. Had to have someone sit in for him to take his SAT. Centenary got into a shitpile of trouble over this. Got a really wicked probation for this along with a couple of other recruiting transgressions.

Benjamin was a cry-baby. Malone ..... would have loved to have seen him playing for LSU.

brown did a lot for LSU hoops, but in the end he did a lot to LSU hoops ...

Afraid you're right. I liked the guy, but he just did not know when to step aside.

Bo Lamar was highest paid college player in history!

Get real! Dale Brown could not coach in this era! Academic standards are too high and he would lose all the scholarships and be on probation in record time. His graduation rate was certified as being below the LA sales tax rate.

Had the return of all the basketball players year before last. They ringed the outside of the court. One fellow behind us remarked "Only the five players standing between the free throw lane on the east goal has graduated from LSU.
