I agree. The ones they have now look like they belong in a high school stadium. I don't like the letters all bunched up in the center, and the north endzone is defnitely yellow and not gold.

Geaux font stinks. LSU's brand should emphasize tradition, which doesn't comport with stupid consultant-driven font. Put the huge block letters in the end zone. I'd rather have the other team's letters in one end zone (Notre Dame '71 game) than that crap they have now. I know this is heresy, but the eye doesn't do it for me either.

The turf "looks" a lot better. Hope the root system has developed enough to hold the grass in the ground and that it holds up the entire season. Have to wait and see. Also, good to see the 5 yard alternating light/dark pattern, like in the good ole days.
Just judging from the photo, the paint job isn't going to be any better. Despite numerous e-mails and letters from a lot of LSU fans/alumni, if they leave those endzones "empty" on both sides of the "too small" LSU logos, a lot of people are going to be PO'ed..........

That's what I've been saying since they started painting that crape' in 2005, but it looks like the LSUAD DG's are gonna do what they're gonna do, despite what the majority of LSU fans/alumni want.....

It's called marketing a brand. The Geaux font puts the letters close together. Nothing they can do about that.

Ordered by ticket holders for an extra amount of money ontop of ticket prices.
We've had em in our stadium for a couple years now. Good for keeping people in their actual seat, bad for leg room.

Way back when, they had LSU spelled out between arches like in the quad. That was traditonal and looked good.
