Anyone else notice that Arkansas played the whole night without a free safety or anyone in the middle? Why did Crowton not exploit this with Jo Jo or Ruben, 2 tall receivers going post?

Because he was too busy drawing up short-side option plays with an unbalanced line.

Isn't that how Deangelo scored his TD?

So you just use it 1 time when it's there all night?

There were a few plays that were enormously successful that were never run again. Hmmmmm. Not sure why. Crowton could be more disciplined as a play-caller imo. I really think he tries to call so many different type of plays to get so many guys the ball. I seem to remember in the past, when he would find out who had the hot hand, he would feed the Tiger....feed the Tiger.

Part of the reason is that JJ has about 3-4 sec to throw the ball before having to run for his life. Long pass plays can't develop in the time he has to sit back and throw

Could it be because our offensive line can't hold any defensive line long enough to allow our quarterback to look downfield, or could it be because our quarterback is a spread quarterback who is better on the roll out? I mean jeez 3-5 seconds is all you have to make a decision and our recievers apparently can't get open over the middle in that much time?? I dunno.. I think Crowton obviously has lost some ability to determine how to use the talent he has available

The first TD drive LSU had Trindon was burning them up around the end. After that drive didnt see much of that again.

So many things disappeared quickly.

1. Trindon running outside
2. Shep running or catching after his obligatory 4 touches
3. Lafell in the backfield (only a couple times)
4. Shep running the offense

Not even any linebackers at times, you would think that a quick slant would go for a while....

I will say i was a little irked watching Holliday run up the middle and Ridley getting a little read / draw play around the end.

Should of flip flopped that and kept on chuggin.

Running Ridley to the outside was just plain stupid. 90% of what Crowton does is stupid. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once in a while. But that guy is just plain terrible and needs to be gone.

We rarely exploit people over the middle.
