all Les has to do is go out and get that same type of name coordinator for the defense.

Money is no object and I think we will be back on top once this happens. I think Les will go out and get that guy. It is only a matter of getting that guy that will separate us from a 7-8 win a year season to 11-12 win season, as we have been acustom to.

We are on the verge of a great recruiting season, one that is the result of being on top for the past few years. We just need an experienced DC to "coach them up".

I feel that Crowton was dealt a bad hand this year with the qb situation. He seems at his best with an experienced QB to run his cerebral plays.

Prediction: In two short years we will win 10-11 games, then the next year(odd year the best) we will make a serious run for it.

Just my thoughts

I don't care if he's an a-hole or not, I pray we can get Tenuta here this time.

How about Venables from Oklahoma? He is currently a Co-DC.

I think Venables is gonna be looking for a head coaching job soon so he wouldn't really be a good hire I don't think. We'd be in the same predicament we are now.

Venables would be an awesome hire. He goes against the best spread offenses in the country every week. You saw what he did vs. Texas Tech. Unfortunatly, I don't think he would leave OK for anything other than a head coaching job.

I think if we pay a guy as much as a low tier head coach, he would rather stay and play for championships instead of being a head coach.

Nice analysis captain obvious.

I think our co-DC's have been dealt a bad hand. Malleveto are at their best when they have corners and safeties that cover like a blanket and 4 down lineman that get to the QB on every play.

Miles is going to get a new DC during the off season. The dual coordinators was a last resort b/c Miles couldn't get the guys he wanted. Don't be shocked if one of the DC's gets the opportunity to coach at a D-II school leaving the job open for an outside candidate

It would have been nice if Crowton had tailored our offense more to the strentghs of our QB. Try to do many things to take the pressure off of Lee/ Jefferson/ Hatch. Example: run the ball, and do so with vaious formations. Run to the outside with Murphy/Holliday and inside Scott and maybe Williams. Throw screens and to the TE more.

With a QB that makes good decsions and knows our large playbook, Crowton could become the Wizard once again. We just didn't have that this year.

I'm have a bad feeling that you're right. I honestly believe that Coach Miles finds nothing wrong with his defense. I think he'll stick with these two guys come hell-or-high water.

I think the change will be made, dispite what happens on friday and the bowl game. This is LSU football, we will be back on top.

Don't let Crowton off the hook that easy, his shitty playcalling in certain situations also contributed to the losses.

Well, he didn't have one, yet he still kept making "cerebral" calls that put his young QB in a horrible position and killed his confidence.

I agree. He's had some questionable play calling this year. He's getting a free pass because relative to the previous OC's, he's a fricking genius.

And, the two DCs have to be gone. I know Les wants to keep blaming the players on blown assignements, but while we all can clearly see that's right, the true underlying problem is being ignored in that statement. If the players continue to be out of position, the root problem goes back to the coordinators. They aren't coaching them well enough to be in position. Either way, Les needs to face reality. If he doesn't, the reality will be him searching for a job.
