He purposely played 14 innings last night to use up both of MSU's best bullpen guys.

He was coaching for the sweep last night.

Makes sense, he remembered what happened after we went 16 innings against Bama in game 1. Here comes the sweep

I think that's the best way to handle stallings;
2 run lead= stallings, 1 run lead= no stallings.

He needs to stay either down with that 95 heat or elevate it.

Right down the middle thigh high is a bad place for it.

He needs to get back to pounding the strikezone early in the count. He keeps serving up these triples because he goes down 2-0 or 3-1 and pipes one. Pitching from ahead with his velocity is the key. Obviously, he needs to locate better as well too, but that is part of not getting behind.

Even as bad as MSU's bullpen supposedly is beyond these two guys, our coach would have been pulverized on this board for leaving Fitts in way beyond what he should have.

Cohen would have no problem throwing fitts back out there.

Even if Fitts throws his typical Alcorn speed all of the Tigers hitters have seen him now at least 3 times. I think his ERA is based on his funky delivery. If you haven't seen him this is a problem. As we saw last night, once he is figured out, he can be toast. Tigers threatened in every inning he pitched and had some bad luck with squaring up balls that went foul. The guy that came in for the starter dominated.

It was bothering the hell out of me too.

Anyone here remember Chris Dudley at the free throw line?
