Like Harris did? Just curious if he starts out bad, if that would require a change.

Harris was given more than that. Two years worth. But yes with Miles he could be.

I still won't believe Miles will let Etling start until I see him under center on the first drive of the game.

If he throws a ball like Harris threw to the tight end over the middle (although that requires a very loose usage of the term "to") he should sit. That was the worst pass I can remember in Tiger Stadium.

If he looks totally lost like Harris did? Guess it's possible. I really think the reason they pulled him is that they started off in the way most thought Harris would flourish. 3 WR, shotgun, no fullback. And 3 of his 4 throws were just awful. Threw over the head of a wide open receiver by 10 feet. Forced one to a covered WR on 3rd down, and then threw a duck into double coverage out of his own endzone that wasn't picked by some miracle. There was 0 indication he would play well that night.

Harris got pulled because he killed the drives. The pass he over threw Dural I think was just horrible. The pass to the running back was ok. The pass to Chi he should have just tuck it and ran. The pass over Moreau's head was the nail in the coffin. He just wasn't there mentally which lead to the poor passes. Miles knew if he got behind Jacksonville State like he did Wisconsin. Add that to our wonderful fanbase booing, it was time to pull Harris. Harris just looked horrible throwing the ball. Especially his footwork he throws like he is rushing to get the ball out before he gets hit.

I mean he just doesn't see the field at all. If he would have lead Dural on that pass. It would have been a touchdown. Dural got behind both defenders.

I'll go to my grave thinking he was throwing to the tight end on that throw.

Does he get 3 yrs in the program first? And an interception to lose a game the prior week?

Harris just doesn't have IT. Not saying Etling does either too early to tell. In all likelihood we have what we all fear - average to poor QB s. Made worse by an offense that tries to hide the QB.

If he threw 2 picks in 4 passes Miles would probably name him starter for the rest of the year.

Craig Nall says yes, it is possible to be pulled after overthrowing 1 pass.

And the the pass Craig Nall overthrew was a designed rollout pass on the move. Craig Nall would not overthrow a pass from standing in the pocket like Brandon Harris.
