I know they get in free, I just figured it was some kind of priority point game, a giveaway of some sort, or a bunch of morons thought Obama was going to show up.

Agree that the crowd was absolute dead for most of the game. I wish I was old enough to have enjoyed the games and crowds of basketball's glory days before baseball rose to prominence.

Against UK the players got the crowd into it with hand motions to get loud and it got loud. I think everyone is at least watching and paying attention (for the most part) so the cheering will come as the players ask for it or do great things. I mean IDK if we even had a dunk last night. Just one of those nights...

I think that's true. Also, the PMAC is at its best when we have a villain. I remember a game in 2000 against UT. Tony Harris was such an arse. The crowd was absolutely blood thirsty. It was an amazing environment.

I think that was also the game that two guys dressed up in diapers and brought a sign that said Vincent Yarbrough was a baby. It was strong work. Also, Vincent Yarbrough was a little bitch, so it was true. Tigers shut him down.

They need to do something about that stupid press section next to them.

And move the student section back where they used to be. Whoever thinks students don't attend games were just proven wrong.

This was sad. The administration used pawns in the Student Government to have them campaign to be moved under the baskets. This plot happened to coincide with Trent Johnson burying the program. So no one with sense fought back and the administration made the cash grab by claiming the students wanted it.

for like 3 minutes

Last night's atmosphere was embarrassing to be honest. Nobody in that arena gave a frick about that game besides Moody from Ole Miss. Players, coaches, and fans all looked like they had just eaten thanksgiving dinner.

This. The broadcasters was saying the same thing. On TV it looked and sounded dead until the end when we finally took control.

Was out of town for the Kentucky game.
I did hear it was crowded though. Our team needs that crowd noise this year.

Kentucky game last year was loudest of the three. Kentucky earlier this year was loud but we led for most of the game so that kept it inconsistent. Last night we needed to be loud earlier but the student's chant of "I believe that we will win" was a great start. Watched a replay when I got home and that came across very loud on TV!

I am with you on that. My seats are directly next to the student section. Actually had to ask a few to move. They were fine with it, some of them didn't know that there was assigned seating there.

Now if we could only get them to give a shite about the game while they are there....

I was in the top of the student section and just moved to a good normal seat in the second half.

Very quiet for most of the game in our section. People were telling us to sit down.
