We talk about the apathy sometime about the PMAC as if its a collective body. The crowd looked good on the TV last night and was very loud at times.

Good job.

Not quite but the student sections looked sold out. They need to do something about that stupid press section next to them.

Was there some kind of student ticket promo going on? My tickets are near the student section, and there were mores students last night than I've ever seen. People with tickets having to ask them to move since they were overflowing. There had to be 2500 students there last night.

No promo just first week of classes. According to Twitter, there were 3,000+ students

Unless something has changed, students don't pay for basketball.

I thought the crowd and team were lethargic for 2/3 of the game. Although big, not electric

For a midweek game, the numbers there weren't bad.

I will say the crowd was dead for 90 percent of the game, though. Kentucky was on a different level. Obviously beating the crap out of them helped with that, but I feel like the crowd wasn't really in the Ole Miss game until the very end. Somewhat disappointing in that regard, but there were certainly a good bit of fans there to say the least.

agree with this. I'm at every game. Only the bottom 10 rows of the student section cheer throughout the game. the rest of the crowd just posts to twitter and instagram like fricking drones. But....they were there, so some credit is due

The crowd does not pressure the opposing teams offensive possessions with any noise sans a few times per game.

crowd was there though........so thats a positive. best These 2 SEC home games have been packed. Hopefully much of the same sat against Ark. They are also 3-1 in conf play. the team needs the support

I think our basketball crowds kind of wait for something to exciting to happen instead of yelling throughout

Yea Nessler kept commenting on tv how there wasn't a lot of energy from the crowd. At least people showed up though

student section was packed to the max. students came back from the break and wanted to go checkout all the Ben Simmons hype especially after the Kentucky win.

Haven't missed a game all season and I agree with this. Our crowd has always frustrated me at basketball games. It's like people are scared to cheer unless something big happens. My season tickets are kind of close to the student section and my section was mostly full of overflow students.

These three girls sitting directly behind me I don't think saw a second of the game because they didn't shut up talking about what "so and so posted on snapchat" and other annoying gossip type crap. It was pretty annoying to listen to in my ear all game.

I give them a ton of credit for being there at least in that big of numbers for a game that wasn't against Kentucky, but they had almost no energy.

Step one is to get them there.

Step two is to get them cheering.

Step 1 has been great and step two will come.

Against UK the players got the crowd into it with hand motions to get loud and it got loud. I think everyone is at least watching and paying attention (for the most part) so the cheering will come as the players ask for it or do great things. I mean IDK if we even had a dunk last night. Just one of those nights...

I told my wife at halftime that the crowd was pretty dead. I tried to atleast get people clapping on defense but all that did was make the lady on front of me move because I have a kind of loud clap.

Student overflow went into 6 of the 300 level sections.
It was expected that the student crowd would be large due to the fact that classes started back yesterday.
