LSU fans see/hear the word "read option" and freak out. Typical.

AJ won't throw as much as Mett but he won't throw as little as JJ.

Is it too much to ask for some of you to move on from the Jefferson era?

Also just because P.Rivers said it doesn't make it true.

I think it's a legit concern based on recent history but according to some you are a retarded mouth breathing idiot bandwagon fan if you aren't eager to see a read option offense.

I'd say 40/20 run/pass.

We are going to the have the perfect offense next year for a read option.

Slant U!

The SEC west defenses won't have the talent to handle the WR talent we feild.

Fournette up the gut or sweep off tackle will be deadly. 5 yac.

Lets get that ship wagon started!

He still has Rettig. He had some wheels before the injury.

We're not gonna run a 'read option offense'. We ain't turning into Auburn, that's not the type of qbs we have. There will be some option, maybe a little more than previous yrs because whomever is at QB is gonna be more mobile than Mett. But we don't have Tebow or Tommie Frazier at QB, so don't expect Cam to go nuts calling option plays.

I am glad he came here. Playing at LSU was part of his dream and the coaches felt he was good enough to get a scholarship. He will leave LSU with a degree and two more years to play college ball somewhere he can probably start. I wish him all the luck in the world.

He came to LSU because he wanted to be here, if he leaves it is because he wants to play the game he has been practicing for the last three years. His heart is at LSU even if playing time isn't, I hope everyone can appreciate that.

I wish he'd go to McNeese or USL so I could watch him play if he doesn't stay at LSU. Good luck to him with whatever he does.

Rivers has been a credit to LSU ... He's been a real cheerleader and a model of class ... Good luck, young man, as Tiger Nation wishes you all the best! I look for you to do well as you get a chance to play QB in a system that will use your talents. I know it breaks your heart to leave ... #ForeverLSU

Jefferson could actually run the option pretty well by the time he left. it was the whole consistent passing thing that eluded him.

Good for him if so. He's behind Jennings and if the offense is going to a read option, he certainly isn't that. Harris will slot in with Rettig for a backup, he'll Rettig might look west too. I don't know how fast he is, but I remember reading he was recruited as a pocket passer.

I'm guessing this is a function of Cameron coaching to his team's strength, athletic QBs who can pass if need be.

All the best to Rivers in his next stop,

at this thread.

LSU has recruited guys like Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris and people are shocked when they hear the word option. Well no fricking shite, did you think Harris and Jennings are gonna be statues like Mett?
