I believe that's what he was saying. Hilliard would not have given up 4 runs on Friday because he only gave up 1 today.

That's impossible to say though IMO.

Of course it's impossible to say. The wind was blowing in hard today and there was almost no wind Friday night after the second inning.

Plus the ump today had a strike zone 6 inches wider than either side of the plate. I told my buddy in the first inning today when I saw the ump's strike zone that the game was going to be very low scoring. Pitchers didn't have to throw a strike to strike out hitters.

So when the other poster tries to claim Hilliard would not have given up 4 runs Friday night, all it tells me is that poster is an idiot who doesn't know shite about baseball.

proving your case about the umpire was how both team's number threes threw like number ones.

It was definitely a pitcher's umpire.

Congratulations on beating colon cancer. That’s truly amazing!

I’m almost clear. Have a big appointment coming up soon!

Here is my line-up of choice assuming they hit:
Watson - CF
Duplantis - LF
Smith / Slaughter - 3rd
Cabrera - RF (due to arm strength)
Hughes / Smith - SS
Feduccia
Slaughter / Bain /Bryce - 1st
Broussard - 2nd
DH - Beau / Coomes / Bain (they would be in the middle of the order somethwere around 6 hole.

Weekend Rotation
Labas
Storz
Hilliard

I want speed at the bottom of the order and someone that can get on base. LSU and the Astros were great at that last year. It sets up the top of the order. That’s also a good mix of right and left hand bats with speed and power.

If CPM could move Hess and Gilbert to the pen, that means those guys are dominating.

I try to ignore most of your posts. They add nothing of substance.

Hilliard is fine just where he's at.
When you start tinkering to much it could hurt when you put all that Fri night pressure on him.
Plus he's dependent on normal days rest, at some point you will impact his rest period.

Hess has got to be tipping certain pitches. That is the only explanation to someone that dominates a team, yet gives up 2 - 3 home runs. Also, the batters might just be sitting back waiting for the mistake pitch which would account for a pitcher that gives up very few hits, but a large percentage of them are home runs
