Yep! Great article, This will be a defensive gem. Even if Tebow plays and i believe he will and if he does, he will play to the best of his ability. That means he will lay it out there. With that said, the Gators are very much a one dimensional team this year. Our corners and safeties are greater than their receivers. 8 in the bow with a spy on Tebow! If he doesn't play stop the run and make them beat you with the pass. I don't think that the Tigers can drive on the Fla. defense. So the LSU defense will have to score in this game.

I know the connection that Mullen went from UF to MSU but I was a bit surprised that Carl meant that as a big thing that Meyer would do!
I didn't think that it was that common in college football for a coach to call his ex-OC (who coaches in the same conference albeit different division) to get advice on defeating a common opponent.
I mean Meyer is a 2 time BCS championship coach who has defeated Miles/LSU combo twice and wouldn't need any such tenuous links to give him support.

good post but i'd like to add ... the Tigers won last week on what would have been my deceased sisters birthday. the weekend before they won on my deceased little brother's birthday. now, this weekend it is my mom's 88th birthday ... so they should prevail .... BTW, everyone in our family are big LSU fans ...

Tim Tebow could have a brain transplant and they would have him back throwing the ball by the end of two weeks. The best thing for us to do is go out there and thump Tebow one good time at the beginning of the game. So what if it costs us 15 yards? Tim Tebow will be knocked down to size, and 15 yards is a small price to pay for glory.

Simply put , out play them, kick there arse with sure hard tackles. Time for the Tigers to make a statement . Have been totally put down in the media. Mandatory to perform. Can perform because we hnow the players can do it. We have the quality and depth and speed. This is the only game. This is the season.

always a great write up.

Nice keys to the game. The only one I would add is to get total team buy in for each player to win their individual battle on each play. If every Tiger commits to winning their play on each and every down then we will win the game. It takes that kind of focus.
A Brett Farve kind of focus we witnessed last night where Brett was on for 60 full minutes.

Great post Carl. And the reference to Meyer and Mullen is the same as when the Utah coach talked to Meyer about Bama. The guy at Utah served under Meyer I believe. So in reverse this time Mullen is able to give Meyer some lil details about the Tigers. JMO. Just as Meyer gave lil details to his friend in Utah about Bama.

good analysis. i serioulsy think ya'll take the gators down saturday. even if tebow plays,it's time for them to lose. can't think of any other place more fitting than tiger stadium. i seriously hope tebow does play, otherwise, that will be ALL your hear from the gator faithful as to their reasons for losing. i predict mostly a defensive game with both offenses struggling to score, early on that is

Great read, Carl, for a game that I believe could lead the younger guys to settling for nothing less than being a GREAT team for years to come. GEAUX TIGERS!!

Great analysis, Carl.
Keep the Gator offense off the field. Lots of three and outs. Tigers win.
