As an LSU fan, I believe in being realistic. I don't see LSU hosting, winning maybe one game in the SEC tourney, and not going anywhere in the post season. Most of you posters sound like LSU is the best team in the country. I don't wear sunglasses, but LSU does not have a good team this year. ULL is a lot more talented than this year's LSU team. I really don't see LSU as a contender for anything, if the trend of seasons, like this one, continues. If ULL can out recruit LSU in baseball, imagine the meltdown if they pull the best players in football.

That last line tells me that's a lame attempt at a troll.

How is what I posted stupid? Five years ago if I would have posted the same comment about ULL baseball, you would have called me stupid back then too. You need to sit down and take a look at the in state schools that are better than LSU is in men and womens sports. ULL is better than LSU is in baseball, let's not forget Tech and their womens basketball.

Ha ha really. Tech is awful in women's hoops. They just hired a 22 year old with no head coaching experience to lead their program.

This year? Ok cool. What about the last 100 years?

Also you're comparing baseball to football. You shouldnt do that.

1. When was the last time they were good at women's basketball?

2. When was the last time someone gave a frick about women's basketball?

no one's talking about how damn close we came to sweeping this past weekend... A&M got lucky IMO

This statement is true for either team except the lucky part. They were equally matched and either could have swept or won the series. LSU was one catch away from being swept or two timely hits away from sweeping. The games were that close.

Don't bet on it. We went 4-1 this week. We are 43-7. I doubt we "tumble". May slide back 1 spot or so. But it won't be because LSU and Alabama lost this weekend. It'll just be because we lost 1 game and others around us stayed the course.

This year I still like LSU's chances in a best of 3 series against ULL.

LSU is scary in the super regional with Nola no doubt. But the Key for them would be winning the first two of the regionals. If they get in the losers bracket of a regional they could have trouble without the pitching depth or offensive firepower to overcome it.

LSU is scary in a regional format because of Nola. Not a super regional format.

Because you can save Nola for game 2 and have to be beaten twice in a row.
