That is the advantage of also playing basketball growing up.

Possibly top 10 after the NBA finals when nothing else is in season besides baseball and hockey.

No just no. That is a great play. It's one thing to get to that ball then to throw it against your body while jumping and spinning with enough power and accuracy to get a runner makes it sick.

Playing multiple sports is definitely the way to go. Specialization at a certain sport, or worse, one position in one sport, too early is bad for development.

Bro, that is a hell of a lot of range and a very athletic play to finish the play all the way over at the SS position.

This is more than a "nice play." It is a very difficult play. Have we been so spoiled with the middle infields we have had over the last 15 to 20 years, that we have become jaded to the athleticism it takes to make these plays? Im sure I'm missing some in the list below, but all these guys were above average college defenders!

Bregman
Jones
Nola
Hill (Added to Original Post)
Lemahieu
Hollander
Fontenot
Theriot

you're making my point for me. Again it is a really nice play, but LSU is a top 5 program who recruits pro caliber ball players that can make a play like this.

Hmm, probably the worst of that group, which is crazy when you think about what that says about the guys on that list.

what?

no no no no

Theriot, Hollander, Fontenot, Jones easily the worst 4. Lemahieu is top 3 on that list and just won a gold glove in the MLB

Sorry, I meant at short. I'll give you Jones and Fontenot, too. Jones didn't overly impress me and he never played short. Fontenot never played short either, obviously.

Yes we recruit great players, but it doesn't take away from the fact that they are making that play!

Considering he was shaded for a pull, that's really good.

It's a great play just not top 10 material. taje off the P & G glasses. That play is made nightly in the mlb. You don't see it in the top 10 ever

When that play is made in MLB it is on every single highlight reel. It is normally a top 10, especially if a big name player, like Pedroia or Cano, makes it. Heck Brandon Phillips and Chase Utley have made a living on these types of plays.
