ETA:
My first choice is to play the LSU-UF game.
2nd, make UF forfeit.
If we can't do either of those, why not have a toss to determine the winner?

It is the 12th tie-breaker in the NFL, or at least it was in 2010:

I hope we're not faced with the scenario, but it's a reasonable approach.

Only if it's heads we win and if it's tails they lose.

It better be a coin with a Tiger's arse on both sides, then Florida can kiss it after LSU is rightfully picked to move on.

So LSU is 6-1 and Alabama is 7-1, you don't think it is reasonable to at least have a shot at getting this cancelled game back?

I'm just trying to figure out a way for us to get into the SECCG if we win out, that's all.
I'd take it, wouldn't you?

You are talking about a coin flip... it's absolutely ridiculous and just plain disrespectful to all parties involved... those kids deserve to play their game and have the outcome be decided by them, not a coin.. that's blasphemous

Hell, why don't we pay somebody 4 million a year who is amazing at winning coin flips? Its asinine

I would rather play them and watch Guice and Fournette stomp their gator dicks into the ground.

Because THEY forfeited the game. That means LSU wins and Florida loses by default.

Make it fun at least, best 4 out of seven. And, we beat them 4-0.

Why would LSU submit to a coin toss when we would have won on the field?

The thing that would be absolutely ridiculous is for LSU to be 6-1 and Bama play in the SECCG because we didn't get to play all of our conference games. I didn't say the coin flip was the first choice or even the best choice. I was simply putting forth a way of being able to resolve the dilemma that if we win out, LSU can have a way to go to ATL for the championship

I agree that those kids deserve to play, but if the game cannot happen (as seems to be the case here), why deny LSU players the chance to play in the SECCG.

I also agree, UF should forfeit the game, but that is not going to happen (Sankey won't allow it).

that's blasphemous

A pure 50/50 odds is the opposite of reasonable . It's nonsensical. That said, I expect that's how it would be decided.

Coin toss is neither reasonable nor sane.

How reasonable is it to punish one team for doing everything right ...and reward another for being manipulative and underhanded?

Guess you found out how far from the herd you are here..
