I can't remember. Are the transfers normally announced this early?

Attrition breakdown
4 Seniors: Ibarra, McCune, Fury, McMullen
2 Definite Jr: Nola, Broussard
3 Others Mulling: Laird, Foster, Moore
3 Transfers: Dean, DeHart, Glenn

That's 12. Recruiting class: 12. Say we get 10 and bring in 2 transfers. That doesn't include the redshirts coming back from injury.

I know he is taking a medical redshirt, but Jesse Stallings was on the roster all year. He's not on this one.

Players always leave this early for the Summer if they aren't going to be on the postseason roster and you can read between the lines with some. But I've never heard Mainieri discuss it this early.

I'd guess Foster and Moore are gone for sure.

I think there will be at least one more.

Honestly I think Javi gets a pass from CPM for what he does recruiting wise. Not to say that another guy couldn't do what he does on the recruiting trail and actually teach these kids how to work a count. It's the only explanation I can fathom

why would Moore leave? not so sure laird would leave either.
CPM pretty tuff coach, plays favorites a lot, not same coach to all players, from what I have heard from a couple of ex-players parents...take it with a grain of salt or with a whole box, not my problem, Tigers just need to win...

Seems interesting that these decisions are being made before the regular season is over.

None of them would have made the travel roster so their season was over.

That's pretty brutal for a coach to put out in the media, true or not.

Exactly, pretty cold to say it to the media. But as others have said, that is just Coach Mainieri being candid (perhaps more so because it was Glenn).

The end of the year "processing" has begun. Happens everywhere, just most coaches aren't so blunt with the media as to what a player was told but don't ever doubt that whichever players aren't in the plans for next year were pretty much told the same "message." Best they hear it now so they can explore other opportunities.

Compared to the way Skip Bertman used to treat the under achievers, Mainieri looks like Mother Teresa.....

That's cold too but still a heck of a quote. Also, Skip had a lot more championships so he could be more blunt.

You get no argument from me here. But Skip did not do it in the media. Maybe there is just more media now, I don't know. Bertman played favorites and treated players differently too, I'll give you that. But I don't think Coach picks his favorites as well as Skip did.

Coach made a big mistake in declaring that this was Bregman's team before the season started instead of letting the players decide who they wanted to lead them. I don't think many people recognize what a huge mistake this was and how much it has affected this team.

Skip could see the future.
