That's pretty brutal for a coach to put out in the media, true or not.

Maineri comes off as a HUGE prick here. No reason to do that to the press.

I agree. CPM doesn't seem very likable to me, but maybe it's just because I don't like him.

CPM has always not held back when commenting to the media about players performance and their spots on the roster. For better or worse, he is candid. If you haven't noticed, you haven't been paying attention.

Ive definitely noticed. Doesnt mean that he cant be called out once again for throwing a kid under the bus.

I mean I can only imagine the crap Les would get for a comment like that.

As do I...

He has power potential, but in today's age playing time is everything.

I think if it was up to PM he wouldn't have been reinstated after the suspension last year.

I thought he asked the team a la Jeremy Hill.

I also think if we had gotten a few of the pitching recruits to come to campus, he would have been processed.

I'm with Josh. It's better than the nonsense Les spews at every press conference.

Facts are facts, Cody let his team down in a huge way last postseason. Too hungover to make it to practice? You've got to be kidding me. Mainieri gave him a chance to redeem himself this year. It didn't happen.

I'm conflicted - that does sound a little harsh, but like others have said it gets infuriating how Les never answers questions directly. In fact, CPM is one of the most open and candid coaches I've ever heard.

As others have said Mainieri has always been candid. I think it is just even more so in Glenn's case because of whatever his off field issue was and probably how he has responded this year.

Agree, it could work out best for both. He gets to play and LSU can't really have him taking up a roster spot if he was struggling to adjust to the competition and looked like a long term project. That probably becomes even more magnified with out of state players given the scholarship situation.

Yea, I'd say he's gone for good.

Coach's not so warm and fuzzy coaching style works with some players/teams and not with others. There are going to be several players leaving after this season.
