while we all expostulating, fretting, and downright panicing he already knew how to handle these events and gave us a rare direct answer to a direct question. i think JJ is an integral part of this football team and he really is a key to our success this year whether some think so or not. yes, JL deserves to be the starter but to win 14 games JJ's abilities will be needed, esp. if JL goes down. if JJ will adopt the correct attitude, and i think he will, team chemistry will only be enhanced. i, for one, like having him available to play. it is very difficult for a starting qb in the sec to go the whole season w/o some injury not to mention that a qb sometimes has a bad night and the other guy might be needed to pull a game out. we sure needed JL in that role last year. even though i do not know JJ personally, i think he is a good young man and i hope this experience aids him in becoming what he can be. he's LSU and so am i.

He wasn't integral when we were out winning games vs. 3 ranked opponents on the road. Why should he be integral now?

I'm glad he's able to come back to the team (for his sake), but I wholeheartedly disagree with this. his abilities are a "nice to have", but not a necessity.

If I am JJ I ask for a transfer and take a redshirt

But in all seriousness, I welcome JJ back to the team. I know it lifted many players on the teams morale. This was their teammate, their brother, who was facing serious felony charges. And to have him back is more of a motivational boost rather than a distraction like some people will have you think.

But as a personal note, the only reason I want him on the field is if JL goes down with an injury. I don't think JJ has anything we "necessarily" need to have to win ball games. But I'm not the coach so my opinion from behind my computer screen holds no weight. I'm glad JJ's back, I'm ready for the rest of the season, it's going to be a wild ride.

False based on the games played while he gave no contribution whatsoever.

Still possibly false given Metts ability to play QB in our offense.

Joaquin Andujar, a english language challenged pitcher for the Cardinals back in the day, had a favorite word he used to answer a question like yours. If you would have asked him he would have said...because "youneverknow" thats why.
