10-25. 3-21 in the SEC.

Nice guy and great recruiter. Hope he does well this year, but he cannot be a legitimate option at the end of the year. I am surprised with the amount of support for him as a permanent HC. The only reason people want him is because he's cajun.

Everyone is talking about his record as an interim at USC (6-2), but that record alone would still be unacceptable at LSU. Again, hope he does well but I also hope that the administration made it clear that they're going to make an outside when it's all said and done.

Yeah, people are falling for his personality, which I can see, I love that guy!

But I don't think he's done enough to warrant the head coaching gig.

Yes he can.

He would put this state on lockdown in recruiting.

And he has learned from his past failures

Not that I want him to remain the head coach, but Ole Miss was a long time ago and he talked about it in the press conference earlier today. He's learned a lot about coaching since then. I think Coach O will do really well with this opportunity honestly. Listening to him talk about the way he's going to handle things seems to be the exact opposite of Les and that's what this team needs right now. He said he lets his coaches coach and that's something that has been needed at that position for a long time. If you don't know about something then hire someone who does.

Hey Francis! How bout you quit being a nega-tiger and give coach O a chance? What's wrong with a good man doing the lords work on the field? Probably one of the ones that wanted the GREATEST coach in LSU history (les miles) gone from the team! Smdh... How about you look at the FACTS??

What if he matches his previous SEC win total in the next 8 games? Would you say he's the same coach?

Press conferences don't equate to W's. I just don't understand how people are so quick to forgive him for his failures at Ole Miss, but were all over Les' arse for 3 loss seasons. Most likely, no one else being considered for the job has had a losing record, much less 3, at a school where they have been a HC. Les needed to go, but this should not be Orgeron's job to win.

OM fan here. No hard feelings for O while at OM. He had OM trending in the right direction, and I think we would have gone bowling if he had gotten one more year.

He just simply wasn't ready to be a head coach, much less starting as a HC in the secw. I would assume he's learned from his time at OM, USCw, and now at LSU. I'm not sure I'd want him as my first option, but you could do a lot worse than O

And? Did he have the talent at ole miss that LSU has? That would be a negative. Look at les miles record at OkSU 29-23 with a Houston bowl win and 2 bowl losses. He had a much better record at LSU.

But seriously though have you seen Kelly Orgeron? Give the man a shot. Great work in blind-side. Outside shot at SEC West Title.

29-23 is a complete different universe from 10-25. Ole Miss had 3 wins in the SEC under his tenure. There permanent east opponent is Vandy. That record is a complete joke

That's a bizarre statement, considering Ole Miss was 0-8 in the SEC in Coach O's last year.

I want to win every game. But realistically, I don't see this team winning enough games this year for CEO to get the job.

I'll say it again.

If O goes 6-2 for the year and LSU misses out on some of the top candidates (Herman and Fisher, etc.), then I don't see a problem promoting him full time.

I know this. If it didn't work out, the next coach would have a shitload of talent to work with.
