I remember he said definitively that Shepard would throw a pass before he left LSU. That never happened. That could technically be considered a lie, but I think it was more likely a scenario like what you described.

I don't know why the OP is saying he lied about this situation with Harris. I don't think Miles guaranteed playing time, although, I did hear/read comments that made me think that Harris would play -- I may have missed a more definitive statement. At least he admitted that he made a mistake. I respect that.

Miles genuinely seems to want to get him into the game. Just was no good time to make that change in a game like that. While the upside of Harris is great, and Miles knows that, we needed the win last night.

Are you serious? You never know what is going on with Miles he alludes questions well and even lies when he deems it necessary. Did you watch the game? Did you see the stats? LSU ran for 384yds out of 491 total yds. Handing off is not that difficult and news flash Harris is a great runner also.

I am saying we would have won if we started Harris also our defense played so well and our rushing attack was in beast mode so well that even a QB that only threw for 119yds could frick it up.

yes we should have continued throwing the ball in the 2nd half instead of going into a shell. Can't blame Jennings for that. He played well.

I do think harris would have come in the game if we could have put a&m away. But we always kept them in the game.

The inability to put teams away that should have been put away so that the next QB can get game reps has been a problem for most of Miles entire tenure.

AMEN. Miles always means or meant to do something, so next year if you want to make a serious run at Championships, you will have to depend on a QB with little experience BH. Other wise go with AJ and enjoy mediocrity

Bama blows out teams a lot. Please provide me the stats where they put the backup regularly to run the offense.

Has it occurred to you maybe Harris still screws up plays in practice and might be a bit of a liability in a close game?
Gametime isn't the only rep time and you don't have the complete picture.

I don't think Mikes can tell the truth, because if he did, he would say, "Stop asking me when Harris is gonna play! I'm tired if hearing about Harris! I am the coach and I will play who I want. When they fire me, like you think they should, they can hire you and you can play the backups and win every game."

That would go over well, huh?

Did you watch his post-game interview?

He wants there to be some kind of trophy for the winner of LSU TAMU game. He was rambling about it should be oil related; first he said not a barrel but maybe a wrench.

He's crazy.

He's actually a certified idiot making $4 million a year. Imagine that. Most on here don't have the balls to admit it.

I sure would respect the man a hell of a lot more because he would be telling the truth. People might not like it but they would have to respect it because everything he said was true. He is the coach and he will play who he wants when he wants.

I wanted to see him play too but realistically there wasn't a good time vs am to do so.
Game was tight and AJ was managing fine.
