Lee has a stronger arm. That was obvious last year.

Arm strength manifests itself in different ways though. JJ looks to me like he will be like Flynn, not the rifle arm or the great distance arm of most NFL prospects, but he can get it past 50 easy enough and still have a good deal of touch on it. (And hopefully accuracy.)

Flynn could throw a nice deep ball but showed limited arm strength for throwing out routes.

Flynn played w/ an injured shoulder most of his senior year. Arm strength has not be an issue at Green Bay, you know of the NFL.

bullshite JJ arm is stronger than lee why is everyone suprised of this. Did no one see the throw JJ had in the 5A state championship? Lee has a strong arm but JJ is superior

Does spewing ignorance excite you people. If you want to compare a high school throw, make it apples to apples.

JLee had Pat Summrall narrate his recruiting tape. Look at the throws on that tape.

That's a useless comparison.

I just want to win. I trust Les to make the personnel decisions. And if Les can't do it we should get our 3.5 mill back!

don't think that you were the worst. after I went to college, I checked the stats on my h/s games. one read: 11 PA, 7 INT, 2 COMP. --- meaning only 2 hit the ground!

If all those skill sets were combined into one player it would be RP....character aside.

Who the frick is Shappard? Twenty something posts on this subject and nobody comments on how to spell his damn name. If I was R.S. I would be pissed that nobody pointed out that my name was misspelled.

RS on 1st down to pick up big yards
JJ on 2nd down for a variety of options
JLee on 3rd down to make the accurate throw
CG on 4th down, cuz LSU is also the Truth on 4th down attempts

Like the concept, but I would change the third down to JL and CG alternate each series. It would defuse the pressure for JL, and not throw too much at CG.

It's all fine to call someone out when someone you're arguing with continues misspelling names. I see it so often... I just let it pass.

He threw a slow ball throughout his time at LSU. And you can have a weak arm in some areas and be a good NFL QB. See: Rich Gannon.

I did SEE JJ have to HEAVE a ball in the GT Game. Not sure who has the stronger arm. Lee made some pretty impressive throws - even those into the wrong hands . The major difference between the 2 LAST YEAR was release time IMO. JJ needs to improve in that area this year if he wants to grow as a QB. I sure hope that happens. As a point of reference, Pro coaches will take a quick release over 5 yards of distance. That 45 yard throw on a dime is important - both can do this given enough time. However, being able to throw that 10 yard out route or slant in a split second is another story. Seeing the whole field is a topic for another discussion. JL has a TON of work to do there, but he has 2 more years to do that.

JJ probably maxes out at 65. Looks like Lee and Garrett can chuck it between 55-60. Shep probably maxes 50-55.

It seems to me Garrett throws the hardest, just not the farthest.

Surely these guys throw farther than this. I am a washed up, out of shape 5' 9" 170 lb guy and we measured throws the other day. I can still throw 60 yards.
