Of course. But why assume we'll make a bad hire? All I'm saying is that it isn't a given that we slip into mediocrity or become a bottom-feeder by nature of letting Les go.

LSU offense was more dynamic under Cholly Mac.

In Mac's later years, that is certainly debatable. His offense was as, if not more, predictable, and certainly generally less productive.

Did you see what happened to UF and Tennessee? One wrong HC hire can send you spiraling.

Not gonna happen because LSU is going to hire the Saban beater and all of the braying anti-Miles jackasses around here will all be happy.

As soon as I read that, I immediately thought "Nope. It's friday. I'm in no mood to point out what good Alleva has done. This 2006's battle."

OK. Sorry... LSU DOMINATED Bama 9-6,,,You feel better??????

dukke v is right, everybody: we should count that win as a loss. that 2011 team was clearly terrible. maybe the worst team in LSU history.

lsu2006, that will obviously be the goal and the hope.Look at Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Michigan, Nebraska, USCw, Penn ST, and Miami for examples where that same goal and hope hasn't worked out yet despite being traditionally powerful programs. Yes LSU has advantages but no guara

How about Oregon, where they've continued winning?

Tennessee is not a talent rich state and requires national recruiting.

UF was destroyed by Meyer after he let the inmates run the asylum the last 2 years.

Texas waited too long, which is counter to your point. Strong is an excellent coach and if LSU wants to go the route of UT, that is fine.

Michigan hired a guy that was completely changing the teams identity and needed time.

Nebraska, see Tennessee.

USCw was a juggernaut and sanctions killed them. Your point?

PSU? seriously?

Miami? They hired within and that is entirely on them. They've also let boosters run wild. Entirely different situations.

So in every case you've given, it's proven nothing against LSU being able to adequately replace Miles once he leaves. Those schools either waited too long, had their exiting coach tear down the structure and bail, gotten on probation, or been in an area that makes recruiting difficult.

None of those match LSU at the moment.

The real difference is you could tell what Cholly Mac was actually saying.

Can you read?

LSU =/= Les

Les =/= LSU

Yes, we could make a bad hire and slip into mediocrity or shite. Or, in the alternative, we could make a good hire and pick up right where we left off or improve. Not terrible complicated.

I am more concerned with the ineptness of developing a QB then I am about how Miles compares to other coaches. His record in that department Has been very questionable

I don't, but I've seen these things go south for several big programs recently, so I'm just cautious.

Of course. Again... All I was ever doing was responding to the guy that said LSU WILL suck if we let Les go. Do you not agree that's ridiculous?

So... Just one of those goes in and A win..... As far as Mac goes[which you have no clue of]. He was a really good coach.... Not the best but a good coach.......

So we're not going to give credit to our defense for not allowing them to get better field position? Or to our special teams for blocking a kick or for actually being able to make kicks... Which is kind of... part of the game?

You're a pathetic retard. But, I think you already know that.

So once LSU lets Les go (if it happened), they are going to hire a coach that dies in a plane crash before ever coaching a game and replace him hastily with a mediocre hire?
