maybe getting the extra practice is good for next years team

I don't think people understand how imporant that is, not to mention the extra revenue.

Fan snobbery views the Chick Fil A bowl as a "crap" bowl. But this year it will feature a pretty good match up with 10-2 top 15 Clemson as the most likely ACC team. Or course I'd rather be in a BCS Bowl or one of the January bowls, but if it is CFA, at least it will be a good game.

do you know how much money this bowl game generates for the school and the conference?

I just wished the game wasn't on NYE...it wasn't always.

The bowl payout this year is 6.8 million so 3.4 to each team. I still don't understand why this game isn't a new year's day bowl.

When we played Miami there in 2005, it was #9 vs. #10

I agree. We should get a good matchup.

I would take an LSU matchup with a 10-2 Clemson team that is ranked in the top 15.

Florida gets a nice trip to the Sugar. But they are gonna play an unranked Big East Chump.

It might even be FSU, which I think is a pretty compelling match up for LSU this year. .5 yards and a cloud of dust and all that.

Nope...just know the other bowls in the mix pay more.

Does it really matter anyway? Doesn't all the bowl money get dumped into a big bucket and distributed to all the SEC schools or am I off base there?

A&M is going to the Capital One Bowl, which selects first. The Cotton Bowl will likely select us, unless Alabama loses the SEC Championship game.

This is the correct answer.

My suggestion before anyone post is to write it down, read it, then decide if you want to post it.

What's the problem? We play a good opponent at the GA Dome.
