but it also cost LSU several games. the offense was horrible last year, but the defense (under chavis) wasn't always lighting the world on fire.

And how many games would you say the LSU offense "cost us" in the last 6 seasons?

I still don't understand why "fans" are demanding perfection from the defense while the offense can't even put points on the board.

I think the "fans" have been watching Miles ball for so long, yall all think LSU should win every game in the 4th quarter 3-0/7-0.

I guess because it is the style of play. Les seems to want to run the ball, play good d and st. Other coaches seem to want to throw the ball, and not really pay much attention to the d.

And so if your defense finishes #1 in the conference, while the offense finished #14, then how is it that the defense is to blame?

Another name caller I see.

1) I definitely don't want to be associated with the people that call themselves "fans" if being a "fan" means I have to hate our DC who saved our arse on multiple occasions merely because he left to go to a division rival. (EDIT: then again, the vast majority of the people on here consider bama LSUs biggest rival merely because our former coach coaches there, so I don't know why I am so surprised)

2) namecalling is usually reserved for people who can't make an argument on their own merits and so they attack the person not the point itself.

So not scoring points is considered a "style of play" now?

I think that LSU fans think it is relatively easy to stop an offense because other teams stop our O with relative ease.

He felt concern that Miles may be on the way out and wanted job security which Alleva would not give him.

It is really that simple.

Period.

The offensive stuff is just afterthought from CHavis.

"What can I say about a Chavis coached defense that hasn't already been said about Afghanistan?"

Am I doing it right? Are we all friends now?

But they didn't finish 14............you've proved you are a dumbass throughout this thread......you've ruined it, arguing "facts" that you have in your mind.

I understand his move to A&M was a money grab so I don't begrudge him that at all, but at least be a man about it.

What is Chavis doing wrong? Remember that you are replying to a Tigerdroppings poster, not to Chavis. Chavis hasn't said much that you can fault him for. He's "being a man". There are a lot of posters on here, however, who - instead of behaving like adults - are making up things to blame on Chavis.

The truth is simple, as a poster laid out above. Chavis left for the opportunity to make more money. Sure, it was probably very painful for him to watch that shite-show of an offense last year, and he might be relieved not to have to witness that again (please dear God none of us do), but that's all secondary to the money - just like for the rest of us.

10th in total offense, 12th in points. Bad, but not last.

Apparently you should look up the definition of fan....

Alabama is a rival now, no matter what started it.

As far as the name calling, I'll explain it without that.

Your posts are shitty and so is your negativity towards LSU.

Hard to put a name on people that love the ex-coaches that stay in conference, but continually trash the current coaches who are here.

His job was to be employees by LSU until the 15th Jan and not to recruit for AnM while still under contract w LSU and not sending in his 30day notice.

A defenses job is to stop the offense no matter the score

He only had the horses he did because of people like Wilson and Raymond
