You really can't count on Taylor...much less Edwards or Shores pitching significantly next year.

Jay needs to load up on starter caliber pitchers for '24. Burns and Loer would be a great start.

Has Jay been calling pitches? I know hes been doing all the mound visits but if hes calling pitches too why even keep Wes around?

I would also take seth van hornsen as well. He was not happy being pulled with a 1-2 count and jordan thompson at bat

You can expect that Jay will turn over the bottom of the roster, too. I expect 3 or 4 guys to not be back next year. I have no inside information. I just think Jay wasn't happy with a couple guys' progression.

I wouldn’t expect guys like Edwards or Shores able to contribute much next year but Taylor and Noot had their surgeries in the Fall. They would be over a year recovered by the start of the season. If they could give us a couple innings a weekend to start the year that would be great.

No Shores, Edwards or Taylor next year
2 likely gone to the draft and Shores will be back very late if at all next season

Damn! I figured having been out the entire season plus a year rehab we would have those three back. Shores and Taylor have ACE potential.

I asked that question a day or so ago. Jay has obviously cut Wes’s nuts off since he announced his Georgia hiring early. I wondered if Jay was now also calling pitches.

Why would he leave a CWS contender to go to a program that’s in rebuild mode?

Noot should be good to go next season and should contend for a starting role. He was a Top 100 draft prospect before coming to LSU.

I'm surprised that Hellmers isn't already in the portal.

To say Taylor is 100% signing is a lie. He’s 50/50 at best right now because he wants to be a starter in the SEC.

Shores correct will be back for the 25 season.

How many times have you turned down major promotions in your life? I’ll hang up and listen.

I think Jay just does the mound visits now to not give the new Georgia coach the air time on TV. If Wes makes the trip out there then the commentators would bring up him being the new Georgia coach. Hell, they still did it a couple times then the say oh, that's Jay out there. You don't want to give him free TV exposure for recruits.

That was in response to someone asking if Burns would follow Wes to UGA. So you’ve dialed the wrong number.

I have 2 Vandy work friends that seem to feel pretty good about Burns coming home to Nashville. I don't know shite outside of that, but they think CB is going to Vandy and this has been stewing for a while. Hope they're very wrong.

Too much on the line. He can't carry guys that can't execute in the SEC. They may find greater success at a lower level school.

Play with the big boys you have to be a big boy.

The kids have been vocal about Wes down the stretch and some have said that they will continue working with him in the future
