I still don't see how that makes him lazy. From what I heard the other day, he's obviously done his research on the team, that isn't enough evidence to form an opinion on this team because they haven't even played a game yet.

Like I said earlier, not having an opinion doesn't mean he is uninformed, uninterested, or lazy, it means he does not know how this team will look when the lights go on. Nobody knows how this team will look.

Considering the high school talent just in Louisiana and the weak status of SEC Basketball, there is no reason LSU shouldn't be one of the top 4 teams in the SEC. We should be making the tournament. The recruiting has been good, so we just need to put it together. I hope this is the year, but we'll see...

The Pelicans could be good with a new coach. Williams is uninspiring and has won 41% of his games in four seasons.

2 of those were rebuilding years to be fair.

But it's a make or break year.

I've played poker with Chancellor who's the ex womens basketball coach at LSU, played poker with Les and played poker with Charles over the years. Of them all, Charles is the slowest to realize what's happening on the poker table. Just as he's slow to realize what's happening with LSU basketball. If he's not lazy, he's playing out of his league.

I'm willing to hold off judgment as he just now has a type of personnel that fit what he wants to do.

This would be nice......To be fair here. LSU will be LUCKY to make the tourney because BBALL in the SEC is DISRESPECTED by the media[outside UK and FLA] THAT IS FACT..................

Well why the hell are you in this thread then? I don't really care that much about basketball right now because it's football season, but it is an LSU message board. By the way, that LSU/Tulane flag in your picture is stupid. Pick one and go with it. But I wish you a pleasant evening anyway.

What you're saying is that you KNOW how LSU basketball will be (which you don't), and that Charles doesn't KNOW and that makes him lazy. That doesn't make any sense.

Charles' media coverage of LSU basketball and football is "bordering on ridiculous". I'm sure Miles and Jones would both agree. He's being paid to voice an opinion on all LSU sports, funny that he has an opinion on everything concerning Miles's team but none on Jones' team. That doesn't make any sense.

And yes, LSU will make the men's NCAA basketball tournament. Everything's in place for it to happen.

I'm sure he gives far fewer fricks about what you write on here than he does about LSU basketball.

There are other ways, depends on who you know that owes you favors and has extra tickets. Owning a company has its privileges.

Judging by his lack of an opinion, its more likely a toss-up. This week if he suddenly has an opinion on the matter, we'll know.

You must not have the entire thread. Other posters in this thread have heard him discuss LSU basketball in detail this week. Apparently today he made a comment about "having no opinion" on LSU basketball. His point is we won't really know what they are until they get on the court against competition. Last year we all thought they were going to be better than they finished up. So this year, Charlie is in a "wait and see" approach.

Its ok for you and I to take such an approach, we're not getting paid to make such an opinion on LSU sports. But not Charles. And when have you ever heard of anyone in the media refusing to voice an opinion on wins and losses? It was fricken lazy, and it's not only my opinion, if you've truly read all of these posts.

I Have always just wanted to give people enough of an idea that they give Lsu hoops a shot. It's not for everyone, but if your reason for not supporting LSU basketball is because they aren't good, all I can do is shake my head in disgust. I'd say there is a very, very good chance LSU basketball finishes much closer to the top than football this year. Also a pretty good shot at a better finish than baseball.

Jones has done a good job of moving this team in the right direction. I look at him similarly to Mullen at Miss St... He has brought some direction to the program and it'll take 1 player to make the program special. We have the #1 player in the world coming to LSU next year... It's hard to act like we are moving in the wrong direction.

That is true. The basketball team is much better than the football team this year.
