CFP or good bowl preference?

In 10 years making the playoff will be looked at similarly to making final 4 in basketball. No one is going to remember who played in a bowl game.

Why is this even a discussion? You want to play in the one that actually gives you a shot at winning a title.

I mean shite why not just accept a bid to the Independence Bowl so we'll have an easier shot at a win?!

Sucks that Saban has made so many of yalls asses quit. Give me a rematch, just need to attack them differently.

PLAYOFFS!...always playoffs. All of the other bowls are just glorified exhibition games. I rather see LSU make the playoffs and lose by 20 vs. them winning an otherwise meaningless Sugar, Peach, etc. bowl.

If you don't want to make the playoffs, then why are you playing?

This. We have plenty of Sugar Bowl wins. We have zero playoff appearances.

I said this in another thread that got whacked.

It's not enough to simply get to the playoffs. You have to be able to do something with that. You got there and get thumped, people question whether you should've been there in the first place.

Then what do you think happens when the committee has to chose between LSU and a similarly qualified team in the future? That playoff loss gets used against you.

People who follow college hoops? Absolutely. Final fours are brought up almost before national championships with most coaches.
