Pretty good read except giving our Special teams Unit a 9.........and not being impressed with our depth.

Good post, but redundant.

I stand corrected. I could have sworn I posted to a simuliar post. Senior moment. I apologize.

In summary, we should be there this year. Can't wait!

I forgot we still had Lavar Edwards. I thought he was a senior last year.

For what LSU does this could be the deepest and most talented backfield in the country. There might not be any one true killer, but there are six backs who can all hit and can all be productive when given the chance.

Wonder what happens if we go undefeated in the regular season again and Alabama's only loss is to us. Could well happen again you know. If there are no other undefeated teams do we play them yet again for the NC?

I was just telling someone that for now on we'll have to be good enough to beat theses Pricks twice per year, or blow them out in the regular season. With the four team playoff coming in two years this is even more true.

Not sure if we get the same chance if our only regular season loss is to them.

In the overall preview, it says depth is a wee bit of a concern everywhere except with the running back stable.

Then, in the offense preview, it lauds the depth at offensive line and says the WR corps is loaded with 4 and 5 star talents.

Hmmmmmm

Bama is mentioned way to much for my liking so I skipped to the bottom

I think it's funny that they don't think we have db depth either......we stacked back there.....

Different scenario. LSU beats everybody by a wide margin. Then they lose to Bama on a last second fg. Bama goes undefeated. Does LSU get the rematch. (Of course, LSU ends the year at #2 in AP and every other school has at least a loss.

There would be a huge push across the country to avoid another rematch, so there is a good chance it won't happen. Can you imagine LSU fans if the team was denied a second chance like Bama had?

Yeah, I didn't quite understand our "lack of depth". Oh well. Both of our lines are fricking sick

We have no backup center and only one backup tackle (and he already starts at guard). I agree that OL depth could be a concern this year if we have some injuries.

Chris Davenport, Evan Washington, Vadaal Alexander and even Josh D all laugh at your post.

If Bama beats us Nov. 3rd, no way in hell we get a rematch. If we beat them, no way in hell they don't. The LSU-Bama game is no longer a big game for them. They know now that they can lose it and still get an auto-bid to the NC game. For us, obviously, it's still a must-win. That's life in the ESPN Football League. Maybe it'll help us be more motivated than they are?

Overall I liked the preview and thought most of it had sound reasoning but I did notice that they(or he) isn't really that informed on all these players but that usually goes with any preview not done by a LSU guy. There were many inaccuracies in the preview.

Got Mett's arm strength right but got Rivers and Randall flipped around when mentioning arm strength. Rivers has the good enough arm and Randall has the big arm, the best on the team.

SAID leal Collins started 7 games when he didn't. He barely played in 7 games. Overall though he was pretty dead on about Collins' potential.

Didn't mention Rasco as part of the depth at DE when he'll likely play quite a bit this year, similar to Mingo's role the last couple of years.

Didn't mention perhaps our most talented LB and a probable starter on the outside in Tahj Jones. That kid has specail potential if he holds up bulk wise. Big omition not even mentioning him in the writeup or on the depth chart.

Completely skipped over the 2 future cbs for us and at least 1 will play a ton this year in Jalen Collins and David Jenkins. I guess he just doesn't know who they are but you can bet SEC coaches do.

Overall though I love the positive vibe of the preview.
