Just how stupid are these guys? It's not as if college is particularly hard, especially if you take one of the majors geared specifically for athletes.

Man Ducre is a HB I don't care what people say he could be much more affective as a runner. Melvin Jones kinda hurts!!

Melvin was very disappointed that he was moved to FB, so despite the other issues I am sure that he is looking forward to pursuing the linebacker position elsewhere.

Kind of like I'm disappointed in Melvin catching the football so we're even.

Yeah he could definitely be more effective as a RB but looks like we need him to play FB now. Williams could also play FB he's a freaking beast. They could both play either position FB or RB.

Why is he needed at FB? Ducre is not an early enrollment guy cause they need a FB. I could be wrong, this is LSU.

Seeing Sam Shields and Richard Sherman doing well today as former WR's in college. Maybe it's time Avery Peterson asks to make the switch.

Do we have another FB right now? That may be why Ducre is needed at FB now...no one said he was enrolling early because of the need at FB. But NOW that Melvin is gone he could be needed to step it up and start day 1 for us at FB

Ya gotta go to class occasionally. If not you're probably toast

As a football player at LSU in an easy major, there are only two ways to fail: 1) don't go to class or 2) don't do your work.

Ridiculous that these guys couldn't even go through the motions. Pisses me off, frankly.

Since Ducre has the goods to play Halfback and we are set at WR:

Could this mean that Tony Upchurch may be a FB or H-Back?

Always disappointing when a kid doesn't make the grades. A full ride, free degree, Tiger player & they either do not have the intellectual capability or to undisaplined to go to class.

If intellect is the issue, the staff needs to do a better job in evaluating the kids they are recruiting. If an immaturity issue, do what you have to do to make damn sure they are in class. Communication with the academic staff is imperative. A simple email from prof to a coach, "Joe was not in class today".

There are so many academically & athletically qualified kids out there that don't get a shot because of recruiting decisions based solely on athletism. These two are a prime example.

Opens up two schorarships is the good news.

Fine at CB but the loss of Jones can be made up by shotgun formations without a FB
