Catch 22 to if everyone or most everyone came back for next year

Are expectations raised for Miles to be a national championship contender? There really wouldn't be any youth or experience excuse AT ALL for next year if everyone returned or only 1 or 2 players go pro early.

If everyone comes back:

We get both QBs back, with both having played now and are a Junior and Sophomore.

The OL doesn't look quite near as bad with Hawkins at LT, Alexander remaining at LG and Pocic as a returning starting somewhere else, we only have 2 OL spots to fill. Not 3 or 4.

RB corps will still be beastly, Fournette and all...Williams looked better than most thought this year and we have arguably the best RB class in the country coming in with Guice, Ducre and Brosette.

WR corps loses absolutely nobody with an experienced Dupre, no longer "young" Dupre or Quinn...and someone who should probably get more looks in Diarse. Not to mention a couple potential huge 5-star WR recruits.

TE, well, yeah, mini tackles, we're always fine here.

DE wouldn't be quite so frowned up with Hunter back, just means 1 other guy needs to step up between Bower, Teuhema, Clark and Neal rather than 2 of them starting.

DT retains everyone and should add a big time player in Valentine. Godchaux will only get better, too.

LB would be beastly with Kwon and Beckwith and whoever you want to throw alongside them.

DB once again LOADED if Collins and Mills come back with White, Adams, Jefferson, Paris, Thompson and Thomas.

Colby might get worse under another year with Peveto but special teams gunna special teams.

Yes if Alexander, Hawkins, Hunter, Mills, Collins, Kwon, Dural and adding Rashad Robinison all come back then yes Miles should be expected to win an SEC championship and contend for a NC.

yes that's true.

but miles has said it himself, if the guys who may go actually come back, next year can be special

Basically Miles putting that pressure or whatever out there. So if he says it than it shall be

I think until we get a QB that steps up and leads, we are a 2-3 loss team, at best....

this is true

however everyone knew this (2014) would be a down year, predicted us to lose 3-4 games, and when we did the sky is falling, decline is real, yada yada.
expectations are always high and fans are just the worst kind of retards.

if Miles had an undefeated NC, the Rant would bitch if he didn't win every game by at least 31, except maybe 21 over Alabama.

But with Smith and Washington having another year under their belts and with our QB's maturing they'll finally bust out that secret playbook that involves throwing to the TE's. The one Cam used for Antonio Gates. Our TE's will FINALLY emerge as receiving threa......

or we'll be here again next year asking what the hell happened to our Tight Ends in the passing game.

That's not a Catch-22. It is a downside (And it isn't really even much of a downside. One less excuse? Who cares?).

This is Catch-22

quote:

“There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle.

"That's some catch, that Catch-22," he observed.

"It's the best there is," Doc Daneeka agreed.”

In other words, it has to be a dilemma from which there is no escape because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions. #TMYK

Probably because that would mean that we end up 14-1. There are 15 games now to run the table.

It's called sarcasm. Most readers would understand it. If you can't, then you're the dumbazz.

There are some on here who hate him so much they couldn't even enjoy a NC...because he would get a pass for a good long while. Are your feelings hurt because you're one of them?
