That shite was the definition of “unsportsmanlike conduct” IMO.

I wish Daniels would have pushed his facemask back and throat-punched that fricker.

This may have been covered... if so, cut me some slack... I may be wrong here...but the play where Carter picked Daniels up got in my craw. I was angry. He's like he was playing with him and the crowd cheered! Like Christians being fed to the lions in the Coliseum. Did anyone else not like that or just me?
Should have been a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

Of course it was. So was our porous OLine who couldn’t keep Carter away from JD. If you don’t want to be humiliated, play better!

And nothing was more humiliating than the score board.

Y’all getting upset with Carter is just sour grapes. I just hope that scene of Carter manhandling our QB doesn’t become one of those $150 art posters that pop up in February.

I thought he showed restraint. He could have body slammed him. Picking him up like that got the play blown dead.

It should have been a penalty and I believe he should’ve been ejected

Why? He didn’t body slam him, he didn’t throw him down then stand over him. He made the smart play by not throwing him down. It was definitely embarrassing, but what would they call a penalty on exactly?

Unnecessary roughness

But he wasn’t rough with him, at all. Obviously as an LSU fan it was embarrassing, but if one of our guys got flagged for that everyone on here would be complaining

In old football (10 years ago) Jayden’s OL would have made it their fight against Carter for doing that to their QB but in today’s pussy game of football they would get flagged for taking up for their QB.

I don't think it was as bad as this board makes it out. He likely had the intention to slam him to the ground as any defensive player would but he checked himself at last minute and held him up. I don't think he was trying to taunt JD. If anything, it showed more respect because he could've easily cheap shot him and hurt him badly. He realized the play was over and slowed himself down.

If it had been called taunting for holding the finger up as well, Ok, fine. Still would have been hysterical and worth it from my fan perspective.

As for the 2pt conversion, seriously, guys...? Your team is playing in the league's championship game- this isn't some meaningless game against Vandy or a FCS opponent. You are simply searching for shite to be mad about.

Would you have rather Carter drive JD into the ground? Or fall on top of him with all 290+ lbs? He made the stop, his task at hand.

How many times did HP40 stand over a QB this year? Most all of us loved it

Have Perkins wave a finger toward the player while doing it tho and it's 100% getting flagged

The part lifting is ok. I am not looking for a roughing the passer call, all I am suggesting is that show boating over a player is definitely a penalty. It is called taunting and that is definitely a penalty

He picked him up like a small child and parading him up in the air while doing the #1.

Matt Moscona and Sean Salisbury said the other day that our oline either doesn’t like Daniels or scared of Carter when it came to defending Daniels.
