I came across this article and was wondering if this young man was related to the former LSU kicker Wade Richey. It says that he was 32 and with Wade being 47, I’m not sure that’s his son but who knows. Maybe one of Wade’s older cousins with the same name’s child or maybe adopted?

Sad situation. Prayers to the family. LINK

Richey is survived by his parents, Wade and Felicia Richey; two sisters, Reagan and Addison Richey; grandparents, Wanda Plauché and her husband, Wayne, Jennifer Richey and her husband, Clarence, and Audrey Tauzin.

Closing Tidbit: Writing about Faulk above reminded me to share some sad news about another former Tiger from Carencro who recently lost a child. Just a few days ago, Jeremi Richey, the son of former LSU kicker Wade Richey, passed away in a drowning incident while vacationing in St. Augustine, Florida.

No idea if accurate but this is from DandyDon today.

Then I was misinformed. Thanks for clarifying.

Damn he died in St.Augustine. The red flags have been out here along the coast for awhile. Very bad conditions for swimming or body surfing, etc. Prayers to his family.

Wade married Felicia and adopted Jeremi as his own. I was on vacation last week w Felicia’s uncle when we got the terrible news. Wade and Felicia are devastated. And Wade recently lost his brother as well. Please pray for Wade and Felicia and their family during this difficult time.

Pisses me off that people can't use common sense because they are on vacation. Lost a student last year in Gulf Shores because he and his dad went out with red flags up.

Yep - so sad. He had all the talent but his personal life killed his career.
