Coach Andy Cannizaro has helped Coach Up the re-building Miss St team to #11. Maybe he'll come back when PM steps down. And he's doing it without 6 pitchers lost to injury.
He's doing a bang-up job so far. His big banger could win the SEC triple crown. It's only been done once in the SEC by Rafel Palmeiro.

He's coming back whenever CPM retires. No doubt about it. It needs to soon though

Tulane should have hired him.

LOL

Rooker hit .324 last year. He's batting .432 this year-- He stole 2 bases all last season. He's got 15 steals already this year. I would say it's safe to assume that Andy has helped Rooker develop into a "5 Tool Player". JMHO Sir.

I was puzzled by that decision too. My only thought is Andy let on that Tulane would be a stepping stone job for him. Still a dumb decision by Tulane's AD.

Adding insult to injury Cannizaro learned he didn't get the Tulane HC job when Corbin at Vandy called Mainieri to ask if he could talk to Andy about his assistant coach opening.

When Mainieri asked Corbin what opening he had Corbin told him Tulane had hired his assistant to be their new HC. And that's how Andy learned Tulane passed on him and hired someone else.

Andy lets guys with wheels steal at will. Cohen was a field general and a base runner wasn't moving 90 ft without some marching orders.

He sure did but he was really pissed that his alma mater didn't even bother to notify him they hired someone else and he had to learn about it from another school.

He had already tweaked his swing in the fall before Andy showed up. Guys are born 5 tool players, you don't develop a 5 tool guy. Not my opinion, just facts. Yall act like Andy is a miracle worker.

COTY at the midway mark. He has done an incredible job thus far. He's the baseball of equivalent of the spread offense.

I still their lack of pitching will catch up with them though.

I would like to see him take over once CPM retires.

In the meantime, I would like to see Diechmann spoil that triple crown bid - he has a chance to catch up this weekend in Kentucky's homer-friendly ballpark.
