chip kelly never played college football and he coaches one of the better teams in the NFL

Chip Kelly, he must be a dumbass, he got his arse handed to him by Miles.
Why would we give a shite what he thinks?
Oh, and Chip Kelly would never say those things about the QB position either. If his opinion did matter, which it clearly doesn't, because he sucks.

I never thought cam's QB's would struggle so much. it doesn't make any sense.
there's obviously something we aren't privy to.
cam is coming straight from the nfl and our qb's are coming straight from high school or just one year experience. maybe there's a disconnect as to teacher/pupil. playing QB ain't easy and maybe our guys are just "overcoached".
just an idea and I certainly have zero to back that up. it just looks like they don't really know what they are doing.

nothing ever comes routine or "easy" with the passing game for LSU.
Passing game looked pretty darn good a year ago.

We are literally the second youngest team in the country (behind Vandy) at the skill positions. If Cam's offense had struggled last year I'd be concerned but it was really quite good.
LSU did score 30 points on the road at Florida last Saturday. You'd think we got shut out.
It's going to be ugly this year. I still have tremendous confidence in Cam and think this offense is going to be an absolute handful for people the next several years.

Something besides politics that Little Rexy doesn't know anything about.

so true, it's painfull to watch. It's not as much the QB's fault as people believe. You would think that when we threw on 1st down that the WR's would be wide open as seldom as we do it. But they are blanketed like white on rice. The passing game needs to be overhauled by someone who can identify the problem and correct it. I thought Cam was going to be that guy, but he is not, at least so far. I think it is a combination of routes and formations. It's just not easy to throw from the I and if you only send one or two recievers out, it just makes it harder. I'm not a proponent of the spread, when it is defined as 4 and 5 WR sets with throwing nearly every down. But I am a proponent of the spread when it is defined as the QB in the shotgun with 2 or 3 WR sets with a balanced attack of running and passing (not dictated so much by down and distance) out of it. It gives the QB a lot better looks and opens up space for the running game. I wish that was our base offense. By the way, that is the most popular pro style offense going in the NFL right now for those so determined to stick to a 'pro style offense'.

for those that want an 'LSU identity scheme', we could run a 'power spread'. Put two RB's in the backfield with the QB in the shotgun, and still strongly feature the run game out of it.

We had TWO 1,000-yard receivers last year. Cam had to replace everybody and LSU is still averaging 35 points a game. Yes, it has looked ugly at times but the fact that every starting QB (Brees, Rivers, Flacco) he has coached in NFL for more than a season made the Pro Bowl, his QB at IU was sixth in the Heisman balloting, and Mett did what he did last year, I think he deserves at least a little bit of time and grace, especially when a true freshman QB has actually played pretty darn well this year with the exception of on the road at top-10 Auburn. It's not exactly shocking we aren't putting up 45 points a game.

Right after we're finished talking about the Tight Ends.

our biggest problem with the screen is how we randomly dial them up without properly setting them up
