I wanted to get everyones opinion. This team has a lot of skilled players but the difference between Alabama and LSU has been in the trenches. Do we have the dogs to hang with them finally?

Just worried about our O-line against their D-line.

The O-Line is the only question mark on this team. Everything else is set in place

QB isn't a ? question mark

Interior defensive line and defensive line depth isn't a question mark?

I think we'll be okay in all 3 spots, but they aren't answered yet.

The question has never been CAN we- it has been WILL we?

Will our team be prepared?
WIll our team be ready?
Will we have the right game plan?
Will we think out of the box?
Will we - well you get the idea

Our players are as good as theirs, our coaches can compete- but will we plan, prepare and play smart? or will we still think we can out muscle and out last every team on the face of the earth all season long?

Will we?

I think our interior dline depth is fine after this past years haul. Especially if we get Valentine on the squad this year. Oline is the only thing I'm sort of worried about. Well worried isn't the right word, maybe slightly concerned?

You must not be watching the same 5 years as me. I can only remember 2 games against Bama in the last TEN years in which our team was outclassed and never had a chance. 2013 and 2015 at Bama.

However, it is concerning that those two contests are pretty recent.

And yes I'm intentionally omitting 1/9/12. Bama did not pull away until very late in the 4th quarter, and one break could have swung momentum in our favor. Plus, we defeated them earlier that season.

The answer is NO

2011: Yes and no Beat them @Bama and then got our arse kicked in the NC

2012: Yes. Had the lead in the final minute and blew it

2013: No. They kicked our arse

2014: Yes. We had them beat, and once again our defense blew it in the last minute with some help from the officials

2015: No. They kicked our arse

So yes, we have been able to match them in the trenches in the last 5 years. Just not consistently.

This is discussed everyday on this board.. The overwhelming majority of 'fans' here will tell you no, we can't

Relying on incoming freshman is the definition of a question mark

Using the word "if" with a guy who hasn't played a snap and isn't on campus yet is the definition of a question mark.

So you aren't even slightly worried about the QB position?

Confident in our D-Line. But I respect their D-Line too. Will be a true wall on the field.
