The biggest concern I would have would center on our oline. With the guard and tackle position still waiting to be determined, I would have to see a lot of growth based on what we did last year. We need to rethink scheme remember we were rolling up until that game when they physically and mental kick our arse

Watch the bama game from last year, Pocic got neutralized at the point of attack all night. Its not his fault, he is 6'7 and playing center.

This is a good post. A lot of it is mind games that are very important to each game. For some reason LSU has trouble with Saban and Bama.

I think the addition of Craig to the staff will really show itself in this game. Auburn has had good success against Bama's defense with a spread attack. I suspect this is one of the main reason's Craig is in Baton Rouge to help us.

They will have more pure talent and depth in the trenches, like they always do in recent years, but we will be able to "hang" with them. Miles always has the team prepared, pumped up, and playing over their heads against Bama and the talent gap isn't as great this year as past, so I think we get the W against them this year.

Sabins main strength as a coach is recruiting but no one develops talent like coach Miles does.

My biggest concern is will LSU employ an offense that does not allow teams to tee off and not be guessing as to what play is coming at them. That to me is the problem it's not the talent gap. Les & company have not much if any, attempt the last few years to disguise what they are wanting to do on any giving play. My second concern is do we have a QB on the roster that can run the offense I am dreaming of.

The absolute positive truth is we can't match up in the trenches the way Les Miles tries to do it. We can not run right at them. The blueprint is there on how to beat Bama under Saban. Ole Miss has used it. A&M has used it. Oklahoma has used it. For some reason, Miles is just immune to using it.

Second, we were at least equal in ALL of the games aside from last year.

False. Bama has whooped the LSU oline pretty much every year since '08. How many times has the LSU O broken 20 on them in that span?

When the LSU front 7 plays well LSU keeps it close. But don't get it twisted, they own the LSU Oline.

That's the most disheartening part of the series, considering that is the one thing Miles should be an expert at.

The play calling in the 2015 Bama game was so predictable it hindered the offensive lines performance.

They were constantly blocking 8 or 9 people every single play and that is a lot to ask of any offensive line at any level of football.

The philosophy has to change this year.

The major problem is that we play to Alabama's strengths. We don't spread the ball out or use our speed, any team that goes spread on Alabama gives them a hard time and instead we just line up our I form and run right into their throats.

It was good enough for Bo and Michigan during the 70s, so it is good enough for Lester and LSU today. No flaws in that logic.

This has always boggled my mind. The one thing Les is allegedly an expert at, out of all of his weaknesses, this one has been consistent.

You are wrong. We did not hit 20 points in past years due to untimely penalties, blown opportunities and the fact they had great D's. In 2013 and 2015 the OL got owned due to their talent and experience on DL. 2015 also had to do with predictability in play calling and a first time starter getting injured during the game.

In 2012 and 2014 we went toe to toe with them. In 2010 the OL was not at all dominated by their DL. And it was a push in GOC 2011 until THEIR D got worn down by the OT.

Just say in the mirror I AM WRONG, I AM WRONG, I THINK I KNOW BUT I DON'T. You may feel better about yourself. And its OK to be wrong. But just to remind you - you are still wrong. Have a nice night LOL!!!

It stands for RED ELEPHANT CLUB. It's their version of Tiger Athletic Foundation on the surface - booster organization. In reality it's that and a group that acts like organized crime syndicate. They make a mockery of ethics in college athletics and will pay off anyone in CFB or the media to further the agenda of Alabama football.

He is not a position coach but he is ultimately responsible as HC.. so yeah he does develop talent in that sense. And he certainly is the closer on the recruiting trail. Add that and say hello to the numerous LSU alumni in the NFL. I think we are still in top three if not at the top in the number of ex LSU players in NFL. So yeah Les Miles AND the LSU football program can certainly develop talent like no other except a small select few.

Tell that to La'El Collins, Honey Badger, PP etc. Outside of QB since 2008 (excluding Mett) plenty of talent developed in BR and sent to NFL. Yes, a LOT OF FOLKS would like to be developed like that. The lowest common denominator is truly embarrassing on here.

Oh I see Negatiger in your signature. It speaks volumes on attitude as well as for mentality (or lack thereof). But it takes all types in the gene pool I suppose.
