Who really has an issue with the Tiger Rag a-hole chant? That is tame by today's standards. If it's for CBS then don't play it during CBS games. Why is oh we oh not played anymore?

The clear solution is for the LSU administration to follow the students around all day screaming STTDB in the Union, classrooms, Middleton, dorm rooms, cafeterias, Fraternities/Sororities.

Neck started when I was in college and was the best thing Tiger Band had going for those few years before it was banned. STTDB adds absolutely nothing to the song or experience when it's played in Tiger Stadium.
The whole "college kids will be kids let them do it" is such a lame cop out. When I was in college we had drunk stupid ppl in the student section who DIDN'T feel the need to completely change the song with pointless profanity.
Honestly I will never understand the STTDB phenomenon. That is something that I would have thought to be hilarious as a sophomore in high school, not in college. Not sure how a college aged person finds random profanity to still be funny or edgy or remotely original. It's not cool at all.

They took at a full page ad in 2007 about the Oweo chant. Supposedly it was a letter from Dorsey, Hester, maybe a couple of other players asking the students to refrain from chanting "you suck cock".
It didn't work then, can't see why it would work now. Though I would say the authorship of that letter was highly questionable.

In college you rebel and do things you think are funny even if stupid.that's part of the college experience. Its why in college you may be liberal and when you grow up you take more conserative approach. Letting college kids do stupid things and say no to authority is part of college experience.
The fact that old people dony remember that and lsu won't let college kids be dumb and step on fun is ridiculous

All it would take is a page from the 2001 Sugar Bowl where the ref brought a mic over to Saban and he asked the students to stop throwing cups onto the field. If Miles did that it would be over. Nobody has publicly asked them to stop yet so they haven't.

In what? How many students, even in 2007, read print? Plus, reading is too difficult for some of the most obnoxious fans.
Jarvis Landry is probably the most beloved Tiger this year. Put him on the screen urging students not to act like morons during Neck and I'd be shocked if you didn't see a noticeable response.

We need to come up with an alternative chant. Something that is not vulgar but perhaps more to the point. Something making fun of Alleva and his French major or playing football at Lehigh.

Add in that the students shouldn't drink before games and should stay the entire game! Maybe throw in that school is important too. I think we're on to something here.......

As a non-student, it is none of my business what students choose to say during their school event. It is between them and their university. As an alumnus, I have no problem knowing my place as a guest at their event and respecting their right to have fun however they please.
