Throws mid to upper 90's but has no control yet. Drafted on potential.

Just curious as to why we wouldn't utilize "one of the strongest arms in college baseball". I thought maybe I missed an injury.

The dude couldn't find the strike zone if the mound was five feet away.

He's not on the Omaha roster along with Frederick, Adams, and Templet.

I could be wrong but I don't think he is even on the team any longer.

An MLB team can afford to slowly develop him in the minors. LSU needs to win now.

Throws 95-97 like Hess, but can't locate consistently. He left the team awhile back to prepare for the draft.

Lsu hoped he could be acloser but he did not throw enough strikes. He was given several chances before SEC play. Good luck to him!

Exactly my understanding. He can focus on baseball only in the minors and see about making his way up the ladder. He wasn't ready 'enough' for LSU rotation.
Wish him well.

In college you don't have the benefit of waiting for a guy develop or letting him struggle because you are pressured to win and win now.

Would you put in Kiel during games if he walked 2 guys every inning he pitched and you're trying to win a championship?

You clearly misunderstood my question... To answer yours though, no I wouldn't risk him at this point, but I probably would've tried to get him more work in the regular season considering his velocity.

Which is how they found out he had control issues.
