No kidding. Sounds like he was diagnosed, treated and is all clear. I'm glad he got to handle it privately.

My Dad had it and got the treatment. He's 87 and doing just fine.

That's outstanding. How old was he when he was diagnosed? What type of treatment? If you don't mind.

I am relieved and grateful for Coach Cam and his family that his treatment was successful.

And I am astounded and thrilled that players and those around the program honored his wish to keep it confidential. That's a big, scary secret to keep. Praise to all.

Damn that is terrible. My dad died of cancer (not prostate cancer), when I was real young. Prayers to his family and hope the players and coaches rally around him for the foreseeable future.

ETA: from reading some of the posts, he seems to have at least the highest survival/success rate of cancer out there. So at least that is a bittersweet blessing.

ETA 2: Guess he is doing fine now.

The fact that none of them said anything is amazing.

God bless and prayers. My Dad has had prostrate cancer for ten years now. It is manageable.

Can't answer for the person you asked the question of, but my dad was diagnosed close to 20 years ago when he was in his mid to late 50s. Other than the initial worry and the treatment (which really wasn't that bad), he's done amazing. His heart is the bigger worry for us (a bypass and valve replacement in recent years).

That's good he beat that. Hope his heart stays strong and he continues to find solutions there.

Thanks, man. So far so good with his heart. Main issue is the fact that the valve they used in the replacement came from a pig...so he's had to put up with seven plus years of hog jokes from our Arkie traitor in-laws .
