Next they'll want a cage to prevent the ball girls from grabbing loose balls and hucking them into the stands.

Bondage( of ball girls)

Trump just tweeted the solution:
"We're going to build a wall and only legitimate balls are going to be allowed into the field of play." "All balls that are caught trying to come into play will be send back and they will have to come in legally"

This new field should have the bullpen outside the playing area. Kind of late to do that now.

I wish Mark Laird was still out in right field - he knows how to handle those ball gulls.

And the visiting teams will pay for it.

It is pretty stupid that they had benches in play that a ball could get trapped under to be honest with you.

Bullpen should be enclosed, Yes.

But we talking LSU corner cutting at it's best...

Yes, LSU went on the cheap on the new Alex box in several areas. for example the bleacher seating should have been ONLY in the outfield(Left Field Landing & Diamond Deck). Most All Minor League stadium have chair back seating down the lines.

When you making something new , No reason to cut corners like this.

These could have been extended down the lines.

An other is the stucco face of the box. I'm not saying it looks terrible, but it could have been a lot better. Not a baseball looking entrance , maybe a Outlet Mall or apartment complex. The Alex Box sign is Very Cheap looking and Small. (Get better Fonts and Bigger Letters) .. I guess the same company designed the West side of Tiger Stadium.

Have to admit, I was unimpressed the first time I entered.

Still love it, but could have been better for probably the same price.

I noticed the new-looking boards on the front and sides on the right field side. On the left field side, I thought they put a board on the front but nothing on the side. The ball could still get in there.

I agree , I hope they look into upgrading areas of the box. I think all points are valid.

The stucco face of the box, Is a perfect example of Bad design, no real baseball feel to it.

The bullpen location, just a carry over from the old box. No thought into it.

The bleacher seating should have been ONLY in the outfield(Left Field Landing & Diamond Deck).

I want the box to be the Best College ball park in the nation, sadly its one of the newest but not one of the best. because of "cutting corners"

You just looked at the posts before yours and regurgitated what was already posted, trying to pass it off as original thought. Happens over and over on The Rant.

BillF

It was a repeat of main points, not really something to make a issue over.

Really what you are doing "Happens Over and Over on the Rant" bring nothing to the table, just cutting other posters down. Try making a comment on the subject next time.

By the way, I think they have several areas to improve at the box as well. Most of want was said. Plus, the speakers down the lines. (Really the whole Sound system)

You actually had to edit your post to "cut me down?" Yeah, I can comment. The stucco follows the architecture historically prevalent on campus. The font and size of the letters is fine. More chair backs would be nice. The stands behind home plate are nice, more like a major league park. The high back stops at Ole Miss and Georgia look like softball stadiums. Same is true of the signs on the outfield walls. Throwback to the old major league parks.
