Man is on the Dan Patrick show and he's a hell of a class act.

- If a change at the top is needed to make the Tigers better then he's all for it.

- Appreciated Joe letting him speak to his players after the decision.

- Thinks O will do a great job. He got out of there quick.

- He thinks the job is a joy and the kids are great. It's not a hard job for someone who enjoys winning.

- He ignored the job criticism.

- Belives he could have done better.

- He wants to coach again. But it has to be the right situation.

- He would tell his successor- You're incredibly fortunate to coach the LSU Tigers. Expect the best because that's who your coaching and that's who you represent.

- Doesn't feel sorry for himself, he had a great run at LSU.

- Talked about his first game against ASU, comeback win. Incredibly happy with his time.

- Gonna try and watch UNC this weekend. Gonna root for LSU, Michigan, Cowboys and UNC this weekend.

Great man. I hope that one day I can stand at his statue outside of tiger stadium and tell my son about '07 UF, '07 AU, '10 Bama and the entire '11 season. It was time but I'm gonna miss that goofy bastard.

Also of note: David Pollack said there is only one name here- Tom Herman and it's one of the best 3 jobs in America.

No one has ever said he didn't have class. The issues with him are strictly on the field.

I (like most) was ready for a change, but i look forward to the day down the road where we are able to bring Miles back and honor him.

GTFO. he handled it well, said all the right things. but did you really expect him to burn the university down on his way out of town?

hopefully he will never talk about this again and I can remember his last LSU-related speech fondly.

Most interviewers talk too much. Dan Patrick did a REALLY good job there. Ask a single question at a time. Shut up and listen.

Well done DP

yep let's put the guy in charge of hiring the new coach whom we just fired because of his archaic offensive philosophy....that is a great idea. Cam Cameron for HC

Love me some Les. Time catches up with everyone. I hope he's always part of the LSU athletic department in some way.
