Should have pinch hit him for beau. Too bad he wasn't in the bench. And someone like Jesse stallings is

through 37 summer league ABs Bryce Adams has 2 HRs and 6 RBIs with a .353/.405/.676 slash line. 27% K rate though

But we still need about 6 roster spots and he didn't seem to be in the good graces of the staff after he ground into two DPs in consecutive ABs.

I have a feeling Delta St, Tampa, or some other D2 power will be getting a few former LSU players.

Just a hunch. Unless the draft is really unfavorable to us there will be a limited number of roster spots available next year. I just don't see him fitting in here. I hope I'm wrong because I had high expectations for Adams and Ducote

I'm guessing. Others may have better info. But we've seen his situation play out before with guys like Jimmy Dykstra and Kirk Cunningham, among others.

Yeah, Ducote is crushing right now too. But between signees and players with eligibility remaining we've got 48 guys for 35 spots. There are some obvious signs like Pint, Fraley, Nonie Williams, but even the guys planning on going pro only gets us down to about 41.

I have a feeling more people than we think is going to sign to pro ball. We might only need 1-2 transfers once it's said and done with

What has been the deal with Ducote? I know he was injured early. Hit better than Freeman at Delgado.

Attrition candidates:

Ducote
Romero
Strall
Adams

Injury may keep Alden from counting. Still going to be tough to get under.

Because big, slugging catchers who have their eyes set on playing pro aren't going to sit behind a catcher that has the job locked up with only one year of eligibility left. I'm not implying I want him to transfer or anything, but you have to look at it from the player's point of view. I imagine he's going to want go somewhere and be the man so he can get drafted.

I wasn't sure what they think of him behind the dish. If he leaves you basically have one returning catcher on the roster.
