If Brossette slid without being instructed by the coaching staff he should be benched.

frick that. That was the smart and appropriate play. As far as I can tell, the attempt to score there (by the coaches) was the same reasoning as going for the late field goal against Alabama. It was for optics only. Not for smart, game winning, football.

Look I wish he would have scored to make it look better but it was the right play. Get the first and the game is over.

What perplexed me was why they didn’t just kneel it after that. Would have been the worst thing ever to fumble and they return it.

As mentioned above it was optics only. More points makes the game and offense look a little better. Smart play was kneeling and ending the game.

Todd Gurley did the same thing for the Rams two weeks ago. Same result for the bettors.

Might I turn your attention sir:

Q. On the Nick Brossette slide was it kind of hard to get everyone on the same page there late in the game and is there more pressure to win a game by two touchdowns?

ED ORGERON: No, he did the right thing. We call it the winning edge, Nick did it, and then we had a huddle and I said, man, I think we can score. And Steve said, it's up to you coach. So I'm the one, I'm the one who said, you know what, let's put seven more points on the board, let's see if we can score. We couldn't and it worked out. But Nick did the right thing as the wining edge. We sit on the ball, we win the game. That's what we taught him to do, he did what he was taught to do.

A guy from Vegas, posted his ticket, 7 game parlay $250 to win $20,000. Guess what game didn't cover the -12....

Can you imagine his freak out after the first slide? Then getting hope seeing him break it to go in with 20 seconds left only to slide a second F'n time.

Orgeron said in the postgame presser that they practice going down to run the clock out.

The shite show is what happened after the initial slide. They should have either kneeled or scored. That kind of miscommunication shouldn't be happening at all, much less at this point in the season.
