6 passes in that video were thrown to #31 Justin Jones, some 5'8" WR that I've never heard of.

Good eye.

Well you just showed your complete ignorance for the game of football and what takes place at a football practice. Obviously, a QB's release, footwork, arm strength, velocity and accuracy of each throw has to be the same whether there's a defense on the field or not. You play the way you practice. But I'm sure your high schooler is on pace to throw almost 1600 passes for 16,000 yards in games against defenses before he graduates too.

Yeah, that looked like Mett-like velocity. The ball got to the receivers really fast.

t what's with all the dropped passes??

That receiver is a 5' 8" walk on receiver. So I wouldn't expect too much.

Yep both looked talented. I can't get over how tight and compact Brennans motion is. Quick too.

Not a knock on the guy at all but it beats me how anybody could make an assessment of talent out of that video. About the only thing accomplished there were mechanic reps and timing.

BH and AJ were superstar practicers. I will make my judgement when we see him in Live Action. I got more info out of his stats from the scrimmage FWIW...

How does a 5'8" guy, who can't catch shite, make on LSU's football team as a receiver?

And my opinion is he looked damn good at it. You must not look any deeper into my words.

I've watched a lot of practice videos over the years, I none of them had great mechanics, velocity, and accuracy besides mett.

But you are right, it ultimately doesn't matter. He can throw a football. Which is a good sign for a QB

Best case scenario is that Etling is greatly improved from both the surgery and Canada tutelage, making it unnecessary for Brennan to even play much.

Would like to see him spared the danger of having to take snaps behind that OL that can't pass block.

He needs another year to gain more weight and mature, but I have a feeling that he'll play this season. (Which will be dangerous before the OL coaching and talent reconstruction begins in 2018)

When Miles was coach the receivers never looked for a pass because every other play was a toss drive. I think we will be fine!
