Guess I'll be that guy to start a thread when he gets a hit. He has made really good contact on all three at bats this game. Seems like night off helped him out

Yes. Yes we will. It would be different if he wasn't 1-33 before that

He was always putting in extra practice while at LSU. I was concerned that his drive for perfection would cause problems.

I hope he loosens up and enjoys playing the game.

And then the next guy up hit a perfect double play ball.

Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do.

It's the dead part of the year in sports. Once football starts it'll calm down. Don't be a dick

Yeah, bullshite. Try covering an NFL receiver one on one.

I think most in sports would agree that hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in pro sports. If you are only successful at covering an nfl WR 3 out of 10 snaps you are considered a major failure. This isn't even a close comparison.

Baseball is the only sport in which the best players in the game fail two out of three times.

In all fairness you're talking about getting a hit not hitting a baseball. The MLB average for "hits in play" is over 70%. Not saying covering an NFL receiver is the hardest thing in all of sports but the average for successful passes defended in the NFL is under 40%.

Either way, hopefully we're talking about hits 3, 4, and 5 tomorrow night.

I was at the game tonight and he looked really good, especially in the field. He did make good contact at the plate, he just hit it hard right at players.

Going to watch him play Saturday and will wear some LSU garb to give Bregs luck.

He's been lights out defensively. Just needs to get adjusted at the plate and the Stros have themselves a player.
